Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Full points to Plei!
Joe called me incredibly nerdy and then smooched me for being thus.
Cross your fingers, just signed another offer on a short sale condo. 4th time. First 3 were passed over by selling bank. This unit has a view! Good area, 1 block from grocery store, and best buy, 2 blocks from home depot. Shared garage under the unit. No stairs. Great south/west view in bedroom. W/D hookups. Will need new appliances, and kitchen would love a make over, but is in fine shape for move in, just dark cabinets. and a fireplace.
Dude, I thought we agreed on a basement. (Much condo~ma!)
have named her CAL (Charlotte Abigail Lux)
Oh, wonderful!
And thank you, Erin and Ginger, for your very helpful suggestions!

there's a garage underneath! Now you're just being picky.

Well, I guess it's not a deal breaker.
Thank you Vortex for paying attention to what I listed. Kids today, they just don't study the details. pfft.
Looks like the unit is about 3.2 miles from the port, just shy of the crest of the largest hill in the area, with a view towards the port. The sad thing is, there are a couple "crickets" in the foreground. But hey, they help keep the taxes low (and is the reason Signal Hill broke free from the City of Long Beach in 1924.
I know, it's a short sale, I shouldn't get my hopes up. But we ran into the condo president walking her dog, and had a nice chat, and made me want to move in all the more. My Realtor has worked with the selling agent before, and says he's on the ball. And there are comps in the area to support the price. So hopefully the selling bank will approve the short sale. It looks to have sold last for $290k, six years ago. It's listed for $120k right now. So, quite the bargain.
Oh, and there is FiOS n the areas! Bonus!
Application insent!
I would just like to point out that Ginger and Erin's awesome advices raised my cover letter from "hey, I'll be useful and shit!" level, to "My agenda may and will evoke memories of Bismarck, blood and iron wise. Hire me, bitch" level.
Truthfully, I'm a bit afraid of myself, after the final version of that cover letter. I never knew my activities and beliefs can be summed in such a way. I almost feel like adding a picture of a kitten there, for the comfort of those who will read it.
Edit: oh, damn. Just got an email telling that my Israeli sign language class for next semester was cancelled due to a budget cut. As an elective it doesn't do much harm to my schedule, but it's still sad.
You did the awesome stuff, Shir. We just made sure they knew it.
Yeppers, it's all about you! GO GET 'EM!
Our offer was accepted! Time to book the inspector and hope that the bank thinks the house is worth the sale price.
