You really do need the cover letter, Shir, I'm glad you were able to get to writing it. But the cover letter is really important in terms of framing the way you want them to look at everything else.
As for the GPA, at US universities you can usually order your transcript, which handily includes your GPA.
Erin! I was wondering where you were. Sorry to hear the answer was "massively, miserably sick."
Pix, uggh. I've had some bad things happen from skipping ADs, but not quite that bad.
Shir, are you converting to an American GPA? If so, it won't be that hard.
90-100 = an "A" = 4 points
80 - 90 = a "B" = 3 points
70 - 80 = a "C" = 2 points
60 - 70 = a "D" = 1 point
below 60 = an "F" = 0 points
Now, America has an issue with grade inflation, so if Israel and/or your university grades fairly strictly, you may want to include that explanation and some context - what average grades are like at your school, in your major, etc.
Okay, it's still a little hard.
also, some partial points may be included for +/- grades.
Wait--don't lots of Americans get GPAs over 4? How does that work?
For honors classes, everything scales up by 1.
Some places do. My high school didn't, which was kind of irritating when they started about a year after I left!
Morning. Am on my way to a 5k! #2 of 12 planned for the year! I feel like ass--I've been having terrible headaches lately.
In HS or college?
some honors classes in some hs do provide points above 4.
college - I don't think so unless someone gets an A+
Oh, hey, y'all!
It's my BA GPA. And yes, while the concept wasn't hard to grasp (only new. That's all), calculating over 40 classes' credits (twice. Because I'm perfectionist) was tiring. (I hope a 3.6 GPA is a good one.)
I also finished writing the cover letter! And now it'll be sent for grammar and reality check, because I stared at the damn document for too fucking long.
Ack. On the bus and realized I forgot my timing chip and badge! Thank god for roomie who agreed to get up and drive my car to bring it to me!
