Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

As far as the whole giving-a-fuck thing, I'm like Jimmy.(I don't drunk-dial, crash cars, and I doubt I could get laid at Parents' Night.)

But I have been giving a fuck when it ain't my turn since 1973. Also, Stringer really is awesome.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ryan's tummy print is my new happy place. Wayyyyyyyy too cute for human consumption.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

That reminds me, does anyone know of a menstrual app? I need to keep track in one place, instead of various calendars and pieces of paper.

For Android? I use this one [link] (but, despite the focus of the article, I am not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon, and it's just as useful if you're not). I am not an iPhone, though - don't know if it's on there.

Yuk, Dana - food poisoning is really sucky. I hope you feel better soon.

All is well that ends in pizza.

The US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the lower court ruling that California Prop 8 is unconstitutional.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

The US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the lower court ruling that California Prop 8 is unconstitutional.

And that is an awesome thing! I look forward to officiating a wedding of same sex partners. Aw heck, anyone. Have yet to hitch anyone.

Of course, this ruling will be appealed on one level or another, so odds are the injunction will stay in place for a while longer. But hey, it's one step closer!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Of course, this ruling will be appealed on one level or another

Isn't there only one level above the 9th Circuit? The Supremes?

DCJensen - Feb 07, 2012 8:56:06 am PST #6887 of 30001
All is well that ends in pizza.

The only appeal would be to the Supreme Court. And then it would have to be one of the 1% of submitted cases to be accepted. By most measures a District Court of Appeals decision is the precedent-setting one, until and unless the SC picks it up.

Heh, what David said, only wordier.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

They could appeal to have it heard by the entire 9th Circuit.

The ruling is good, but it's very narrow, applying only to the had-the-right-then-revoked-it situation in California. They specifically declined to rule on the broader issue of the constitutionality of banning same-sex marriage.

Our wings are not tired

I do not want to go down to San Diego to deal with my family tomorrow. Alas, it's what I'll be doing.
