Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

x-posted with FB because it's late and I'm lazy and drugged up (to no avail):

I got a toothache out of the blue on Friday, which is the worst time *ever* to get a toothache, because I vacillated between thinking, "It'll get better; no need to call the dentist and beg them to fit me in on a Friday," and "Uh oh -- better call the dentist and beg them to fit me in since it's Friday and if it gets worse then I have to wait until Monday."

I didn't call. It got worse. Worse in the sense of OH GOD HOW CAN ANYTHING HURT SO MUCH. Seriously, I can't believe how much such a small area of my body can hurt. I was sobbing in the car today on the way to the Super Bowl party. I've been taking 800 mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours, and percocet (left over from when I jacked my back up last spring) every 6-8 hours. And NOTHING is helping. Which, if I'm going to be totally honest, scares me a little bit. Percocet generally at least dials down the pain, but it's not doing anything this time.

I'm obviously calling the dentist at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. Don't care what needs to be done; I just need it dealt with ASAP.

Because books.

Steph, try icing it. Seriously. I've stopped a flare up that way, before it got out of control (and I've had huge and many teeth problems).

Do you have any clove oil or Orajel, Steph?

Ginger, I don't have either one. I realized a little too late (i.e., at my mom's watching the Super Bowl) that Orajel would probably help.

I figure once I call tomorrow at 8:00, I'll be able to come up with a plan of attack based on when they can get me in. For now, I just took another dose of ibuprofen and percocet, and that should let me sleep.

Yeah, I'd make Tim run out and get clove oil, orajel, and a freezable baby teething ring

Tomorrow. I think tonight is pass-out time.

Vortex, thank you for the advice!

Steph, oh. I have zero advice on this, but I hope you'll be able to see a dentist ASAP.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

This is not as bad as a toothache, because those are the worst, but being up at 12:30 on a Sunday night with food poisoning is no fun either. I think I could sleep if I could feel better, and I'd feel better if I could sleep, but neither is happening.

Changed my mind. Worse than a toothache.

Trust my rage

Ugh, Dana, food poisoning is one of the worst. Hopefully, you are resting?
