It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hatul Dog, you have landed on your feet and no mistake. You've got some good humans, there, you lucky dog.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Woo! Watched the parade go by once, waiting for it to come back around. Saw my friends in Skinz and Bonez and scored a beautiful sugar skull mini mask my friend C made. That and a jello shot were my best scores so far.

Our wings are not tired.

Puppy hatul!

That's all I got.

Ran into Drama Llama! We were nice to each other. And then another coworker. And now I'm hanging with a friend from OKC at Hard Rock for a lesbian party, and I'm aging rapidly while I wait at the bar.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

sounds like a good night, smonster.

Oo, I need to mail you a package! This week, I swears.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Teaching b.org how to say cat in Hebrew - check. My life is now complete.

Well at least your last thoughts before sleepy time are good ones.

They always are, pretty boy. Rawr. (oh, look everyone, popcorn, out of nowhere!)

Ese chatul yafe! (My Hebrew teacher made me learn it. Because that's a phrase that will help me communicate with my family-in-law and persuade them I am not crazy.)

Laughing and laughing at the choice of rational sentence. However, I say "Mi chatul yafe". Mi is who, Ese is what, and animals are considered as humans in Hebrew grammar.

And now. I'm totally rescheduling the entire day because I realized just this morning, while getting up, that it is semester break and that I can go to work when it's convenient and not when it's "not university days" days. Why yes, it did take me time to grasp that notion.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So I've started rewatching Next Gen on a whim (it's been forever). In the first season, they wrote in a bunch of conflicts between the main characters premised on the idea that they didn't know each other very well. I don't remember how it played back when the show was first airing, but now it just reads like everybody being major douchenozzles to each other (especially Wesley) for no apparent reason.

Well, the danger of being home on a Saturday night with champagne is I start feeling sassy and write emails to girls on OKCupid. One I noticed the other day is new and cute (though I really like one photo, where she looks like a very hot friend of mine in another city, the other two photos are weird and grainy and not as flattering...so wondering what she actually looks like). Anyway, I checked her out. And then she checked me out. And then I checked her out. And then she checked me out two more times. So tonight I was like "So, OKCupid thinks we're a 95% match, and I can see we've looked at each other's profiles--how about we get a drink or coffee and check each other out in person?" ...since then, she checked out my profile again. But didn't write back. Ah well.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

since then, she checked out my profile again. But didn't write back.

Give her time. Obviously, the reason for the multiple profile checking is trying to grasp your awesomeness bit by bit.

And now, in unrelated things that's on my mind: CV question!
Say that a certain person is updating her CV for a certain internship that may or may not lead her to F2F with beloved 'istas. And say that person realized that wow, she's been doing a lot of what considered to be activism. As in three different activities this year, that aren't related to studies or job (hollaback, a joint team to combat sexual harassment in civil society organizations, and a new fresh thing which I lurv: a mix between Girl Geek Con and Systers for Israeli technical women in computing.) In all of them I'm handling administrative tasks and quite successfully herding cats that's never been herd before, so I'm more in the mind of keeping it on my resume.

So, umm, should I separate the activistic part from the "professional background" into a different section? It is starting to make my professional background a bit unrelated to my actual profession, which I also love to pieces, no matter what it is I feel like doing in my non-work and not-university hours.

Ooo!! Burrell, I have stuff to mail to you too.

Shir, I'd say it could go either way. You can organize by skill, or professional and volunteer. But Erin's the Bitch you want for resume advice.

I got home okay! Yay. We stopped for burgers in the Quarter where C's friend works, and four people (FOUR. Two groups of two.) totally walked out without paying. Assholes. And it comes out of her check. So I chipped in $24 to lessen the hit. Fucking tourists (I'm guessing).

And now to sleep.
