It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think I want a drink, but all I have is beer, and it's too cold to drink beer.

She doesn't really know how to organize the exams, which is understandable since this is her first semester doing it,

no, it's really not. All it requires is a modicum of organization and sense. How could it not occur to her to try to schedule all of the same instructor in the same building?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Good luck, Vortex!!

Hil, I still can't believe that craziness. Glad you got through it, and that all the proctors showed!

Here's an idea: make a menu, day by day, of what you'd cook with all that and what else you'd need to do said cooking. Only after you write all that out are you allowed to buy it.

I know that this is what I need to do. Menu planning is totally something I need to work on. Not going to happen tonight, though. So I guess no purchasing veggies (have to pre-purchase for delivery).

I really need to work on menu planning too. I get lazy or run out of ideas once I have the veggies and then some of them go bad before I get to them.

I know all the individual words, but together they make no sense.

I made sure to make a point of thanking all the proctors. I know that several of them just got pulled into being proctors today.

My ankle is definitely getting swollen. If I have to stay home tomorrow, it's not a huge deal -- we never get anything done in class the day after an exam, anyway.

46 degrees outside. Inside, the heat isn't on yet. Too cold to drink anything cold.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm in Hartford right now (second interview) and I'm thinking of you and Nora because I'm sitting in City Steam Brewery,

I used to work on the second floor of that building!

We are also resisting turning on the heat. I'd like to have at least a few days where we don't need either the A/C or the heat. It was pretty frigid when we got up this morning, though it's OK at the moment. A good temperature for drinking tea!

We have resisted turning on the heat this year because we need to order oil, but it is actually nice out right now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, we need to order propane too, but are trying to put it off. But we have firewood so we can.
