No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Students are Gloria Steinem? Poppycock. Next you'll be saying Ben is Glory.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Maybe the students are shamelessly manipulating devout fundamentalist Christians in order to increase their power base.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Popping in quickly to tell Nora that it's Artfully Aware at NOMA, and I can forward you the email.

I am freaking wiped and sad for no discernible reason.

Girl, I feel you.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

A state legislator in, I think, Alabama is saying that giving public school teachers a raise would be unbiblical. His ... logic ... is that if teachers were paid well, it would attract people who are in it for the money, rather than as a calling. Same guy is, as I understand it, for a major raise for legislators because not paying them enough leads to corruption.

Edited to add a link to the story.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I did not dream badly last night.

Thank you, Buffy on Netflix.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

is that if teachers were paid well, it would attract people who are in it for the money, rather than as a calling.

This type of thinking pisses me off so much. People go into business for the money, and no one thinks ill of that. People go into medicine for the money, and few people think ill of that. Teachers who actually want to get paid a living wage for what they do?? The complete and utter gall!

Disclaimer: I just took a second, second job for extra money because my teacher pay just ain't cutting it, so I may be a bit bitter here. (My first second job just ended and I need another one. My 3rd second job will happen over the summer. Pretty much, I have a string of second jobs all year long.)

brillig

IE, women's jobs. Women don't work for money, that's sleazy. They work because they're superior, moral creatures who have a "calling".
