It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

Yay Aims!

Shir, I hope your headache got better.

I'm cleaning up for the appraiser, which, if all goes well, will help us escape bigbadbank. I need it to go amazingly well, in a miraculous sense, in order for this to happen. So I am cleaning out of some impression that this will make a difference. any assessment~ma that's out there would be appreciated. Otherwise, I may need to bother Brenda for the details of her re-fi program, if it still exists.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Assessment~ma, Sox!!

The meeting with SB went well. He seemed genuinely contrite and unaware of the effect his attitude was having on everyone. Fingers crossed he makes the needed changes. At first in the meeting, he was pissing me off because I'd ask him a question, and he'd look at my supervisor while answering. I called him out on it though, and he started addressing me directly.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm trying not to send a snippy message to the counselor at Kaiser, who says she can't refill my prescription until she sees me next we because it's been six months. Yes, honey, that's true, but you've out with foot surgery for two months. I saw one of your colleagues, but apparently you don't trust her judgment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Seriously, who needs to be called on that? How is that not explicitly bullshit rude behaviour?

I know I'm an eye contact freakazoid, but seriously.

I had a hard time keeping my temper, especially when he said his initial reaction to me was, "What qualifications does this woman have?" Calling me "this woman" (in retelling the story) to my face. I think he'd respect me more if I was a dude who bullshitted my way through stuff I didn't know. But that ain't my style.

That is some serious bullshit. Kick his ass, metaphorically of course.

Always Anti-fascist!

the only answer that matters is "More than him." I think really his biggest mistake is in relating that thought exactly as he experienced it(Because "this woman" sounds mad sexist. Much like he would get out of control if you really called him "Puppy Boy" at work.)

Seriously. (I need to stop saying that). But why do so many people make that mistake, or decide it doesn't matter?

Don't know, ita. But it's not really terrible to *think* you have an inexperienced boss, as much as it is to say it harshly to her face.
