Aims, so glad meeting your sister went well. And did you happen to see my post about Christmas at Mount Vernon? they've followed George Washington's holiday entertainments and have a Christmas camel (this year's is named Aladdin).
Saturday afternoon I went to the mall to watch the crazy people. It's actually kind of fun as long as you don't need or want to buy anything. And I watched the kids with Santa for a while - very nice, low-key, soft-voiced Santa. One teeny tiny in her Christmas dress (dark rose color with a white fur collar) didn't quite understand what was going on, but warmed up to him and smiled for the camera ... eventually. She waved bye-bye to Santa and then toddled off.
I've been trying to not buy anything until the craziness dies down. But a lot of places are closing down this week - Filene's Basement (sob!) and Georgetown Park's new owners are now clearing everyone out and the Barnes & Noble down the street will be closing. Some of them I have to visit before they close down.
And the priority mail ad with the horrible/scary gift was on ... reminded me of Belinda. Although we've gotten a lot of entertainment (horror movies are entertaining, right?) out of Belinda and her journeys.
