Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Tim's SiL (wife of the brother who was playing the damn game) came in the kitchen and saw them playing and asked them, "Are you helping clean up?" and I didn't even let them answer before I said, without turning around, "Actually, what they're doing is the EXACT OPPOSITE of helping clean."

I think that this was a nice way to call them out. And then they helped.

Seska, this may sound strange , but being there to be helped may actually help The Girl. When I lost my dad, having something else to concentrate on was really helpful, and it was even better if it helped someone else.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Condolences and comfort to The Girl and her family, Seska, and courage and strength to you.

Bonny, you have my heart and my thoughts for whatever will give you the most will to get outside yourself. If you need not to engage, then don't. If you need to focus your attention outward and believe you can make a difference, then foster. Either way, healing wishes for you.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Thanks for the good wishes. You're all lovely.

Vortex, thanks - that helps.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Travel ~ma and peace to you and The Girl and her family, Seska.

Boxing day is a bust here. I woke up at 1:00 in the Afternoon! I feel ill but with no specific symptoms but sinus pressure and weakness. but I felt fine yesterday! Why, on the day when I have planned to do things does this happen?

Luckily, I have one more day off, but that means grocery shopping, cooking and laundry without much extra cleaning and hoping I have the energy to get it done!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The in-laws have gone home. After having three extra humans and three extra dogs in the house, it seems spacious and quiet. Don't know why it is, but watching four movies (Mission Impossible, Muppets, The Artist, We Bought a Zoo) yesterday and then sleeping for 9 hours has made me freaking exhausted. Luckily, the DH is just as tired so we are in major slounge mode today.

Not javachik

((bonny)) and ((seska))

Hmm, I've spent the entire day inside. Scrappy, you have motivated me to go see a movie, probably Dragon Tattoo.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm home from MI. My cat is happy to see me (although I'm sure the sitter spoiled him beyond the telling of it--he has no call to act like he's been neglected for a month) and the quiet, broken only by the sound of my upstairs neighbor walking about, is nice. But I had a really good time with my sister and her brood. I wish I could pick up my town--friends, job, and all--and move us all a few hundred miles closer to her.

Keeping you in my thoughts, Bonny.
