Oh, my god, the fucking mall
Yeah. Ugh nothing was enjoyable today if it involved me exchanging money for goods or services. But I'm done Elfing except for an exchange tomorrow. Even Trader Joes hit my last nerve. And Von's because mom's olive oil was expired! How does that even happen? I just took the phone call and bought her new oil...
Tep, Tim is awesome and that's a great story and necklace.
The family Tea has arrived safely at Phillip Island, home of the Penguin Parade and Faunapalooza! (And Chris and Liam Hemsworth, but I don't care so much about that.) Ryan is thrilled to be on holiday. I don't think he actually has much concept of what that is, but he knows it's good. This can only be heightened when he witnesses the Penguin Parade.
I got 8 hours of sleep tonight, and have wrapped All the Presents, put in a load of laundry (M's mom didn't have all of his clothes he needed to take to KC clean clean @@) and am about to finish my coffee, charging implements and packing.
I am still mostly packed from PA, so THAT'S easy enough, thank dog.
I am thinking about taking down some nail stuff and giving my MIL a manicure, if she wants one. It might be fun.
My folks stuff is already wrapped and at their house; we'll be having Xmanakkah there Monday.
And a professional photog frien is taking family pix of us next week for the family rate ($50) and we can pay her in the middle of January, when we'll have some moneym and I'll get 'em printed free by my BF's bro, for whom I wrote resumes and covers. I wish there was a giant robot statue in KC, because that's TOTALLY where I'd have them done!
Safe travels and happy Christamas, Hanukkah, late Solstice, Yule, Boxing Day and any other winter holidays I may have forgotten! Joy to all!
I LOVE YOU, MA BUFFISTAS!
and any other winter holidays I may have forgotten!
Christmakuh! Festivus! Solstice! Kwanzaa!
I'm having a nice Christmas Eve. Work was rather slow, although there were 2 people in the store that walked in at quarter till closing, didn't come up to the register until after the store closed and took sometime.
We turned away three or four people at the door.
When I got home there was a package from G'ma and Aunt J and my landlady left me a nice card with a grocery store gift card and a lottery ticket and thanked me for being a great tenant!
Just got some good news for Christmas. Some old friends from the Pennsylvania are coming to Seattle for a big conference after the New Year. And they will be able to stop by Olympia and visit us for lunch on the 8th before they go home.
