Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Matt and Beth, I'm so sorry for your loss. Peace and comfort to you.
Pix, I'm so sorry.
Shir, next time she asks for rent, give her the same excuse - hey we paid LAST month, and now you want us to pay again? What do you mean, it's in the contract - it's expensive and we already did it.
I laughed, so you were helpful.
Anyhow, things are under control. In the thing which is my life, that is. landlord's beyond crazy, and "remembered" telling us things about the flat only after we entered. Really, whatever. We can move before the end of the contract, as long as we get someone else to live there instead of us. Which is doable, I think.
I less happy news: mom now feels pressure and around her eye. MRI will happen as soon as possible.
In separate post, cause I can't remember if I already did it:
Oh, {{{{Pix and Byron}}}}. Peace, pet and human~ma.
Shir,
they hadn't done an MRI before now?
'ma for your mother.
Nope.
But that comes with a long explanation about the Israeli health system (very different from the American one - for starters, we have universal health care) and how they prefer to treat some things in hospitals and others via community doctors. In sum, hospitals take care of emergencies. If it's continuous thing, most of the procedure is done via the doctor in the community clinic, even if the treatment itself is in the hospital. And MRI wasn't part of the emergency treatment for SSHL.
It's a different model, which takes more effort from the patient, but less money. As in, I'm not even sure if my mom has to pay anything for her hospitalization. Most, if not all, should be covered.

I don't know about the "more effort" part. Here it can be a nasty and drawn out battle to get things paid for.
But what's really important is lots and lots of ~ma to your mother, Shir, and to your whole family.
Oh, and in other, other news?
My favorite band declared reunion. With two shows, abroad.
I bought a ticket to London (other show in NJ). I can cover the ticket, but I have no idea how I'll pay for the flights.
For 5 days, my mind was completely blown from the news, and my reaction to it. Living outside of my budget for a whim is really not like me. And just the news set me on an emotional roller-coaster (in addition to mom, etc.).
Nora, in several of the towns around Worcester, but not Worcester itself.

Oh, I meant the scheduling appointments and making sure things get done aspect - not the payment aspect. Again, very different model.

Thank you.
Now, shower, maybe a bit of TV, and back to my seminars. Been a long, stressful day.
