I've got green bean casserole in the oven. I think it smells pretty good, but I'm still sort of stuffed up and can't really smell much. I used lots of the fried onions. (I use this recipe [link] , which calls for 6 ounces of onions, but the brand I could find came in 4 ounce containers, so there's closer to 8 ounces in there. Not quite 8 ounces, since I ate some.)
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My sister's making one right now, Hil, so I can vouch for it's smelling good.
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
Just finished cooking the green bean casserole. Now ham and Cornish game hen are in the oven, on the lowest temp, warming up.
My fam should be here in 45 minutes. Guess I'd better brush my teeth and throw on some clothes. Although it just Dan, Mom, Dad and Suzy. Poor Suzy worked till 3 am last night, and has to be back to work at 3 pm. (They live about an hour and 15 away.) Short Thanksgiving day. But it will be good!
I need to go outside for a bit then come back in so I can rediscover the aroma.
Happy Thanksgiving Buffistas!
The restaurant we're going to later is a Brazilian carnivore haven, where they'll have roast turkey and deep fried turkey and other turkey and hopefully the bacon-wrapped turkey, and yum.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
And bless the turkeys, without whom much of this would not be possible.
Happy Thanksgiving!
deep fried turkey
This is a wondrous thing. Oh yes.
This is a wondrous thing. Oh yes.
I'm looking forward to comparing all the variants of turkey.
I have to get myself invited to a deep fried turkey Thanksgiving dinner one of these years. So want to try that. At someone else's house who knows what he or she is doing.
