Key West for Thanksgiving

That sounds lovely. The last time I was in Key West was probably 30 years ago (damn, I clearly remember things from 30 years ago, children born since then have had children since then).

The day before Thanksgiving and I'm doing what I'm usually doing, sitting in tech for A Christmas Carol until at least 10 tonight.

I'm not sure why you'd think someone else should shut up about their feelings in Bitches of all places.

So they don't get scolded?

I'm actually, literally having an anxiety attack at this moment from reading that last little kerfuffle.

And I am looking at my collection of take out menus since I shopped for tomorrow but not today.

I likely don't do my bitching about the wacky Republicans here because I get it out of my system at home. I did have to give my son a talking to before my brother visited to temper his comments. I worked it out with Jim by agreeing to O'Reilley in exchange for him watching Rachel. All the rest of my family and closest friends are on the left Democrat side. My customers mostly Republicans. I just keep the audience in mind. But at home they know without doubt how wrongheaded I find a number of our candidates and elected folk.

Nah, it's just that it's so subjective...I thought I was being funny and some people thought it was gross or mean or something. it felt like anything I would say would read like "Was not!" although I guess I said it anyway.(shrugs)

Some things that are obvious snark have been taken rather seriously.
