I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

Well he's going to try to keep me at lower estrogen but with 24 on, 4 off. He was actually very reassuring. Follow up ultrasound next week, but he says nothing large in the report, so no surgery needed. Mostly good news.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Pix, that's a relief. I hope things all work out.

Thanks. Honestly, my biggest concern now is dealing with my insurance company, which (like every other insurance company I know) seems to not get that someone might have to take BC pills for some reason other than birth control. They don't want to pay for this newfangled brand name 24 days on 4 days off, see, because clearly I'd be just as good on the regular old generic. My doctor checked "do not substitute." We'll see how it goes.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Mostly good news.

That's good to hear.

I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon. I'd told my mom to wake me up when she wanted to go grocery shopping, but she came into my room and said my name a few times and I didn't respond, so she figured that I needed the sleep, and we're going grocery shopping tomorrow morning.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, I'm glad you heard good news from your doctor.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm not looking forward to this. The original forecast was for "rain, sleet, and snow" , I guess all at the same time, but it's been revised to snow in the mornings in Burlington and then sun. But it should snow most of the day here. I think Saint Albans is going to get 2-5 inches. But the snow will pack down and turn to ice on the roads.

Ugh. My brother and SiL are leaving tomorrow morning to drive to Ohio for Thanksgiving. They're trying to leave around 5-6 a.m., in the hopes of missing most of the snow. Fingers crossed big time.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Safe driving for them that drive under winter weather advisories.

Yay for snow tires for askye and extra rest for Hil!

Pix, I'm glad that the pain is over for now. Have fun storming the castle insurance company.

brillig

We're having a heat wave for Thanksgiving. Which will make the mountain passes safer to drive, at least.

Our wings are not tired.

It is good to hear the doctor was reassuring, Pix. His office should be able to give you a letter of medical necessity, but it would be nice if you didn't have to argue about it.

I don’t have to argue about it, but I do have to pay a $50 copay. Sigh. Between ND’s meds and mine, we’re up to $200+ a month just in copays.
