Bonny, that is great to hear about Bartleby. I've been thinking about you guys.
Pix, I'm sorry you are going through that. Sounds horrible. I hope your doctor can help you out quickly.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Healing and relief-ma for Pix. I'm sorry to hear you're going through that.
So after Kitten Drama today (which was in Natter) I had to deal with Snow Tire Drama.
I called a place and made an appointment thinking I was making an appointment to BUY and have put on snowtires plus an oil change. They thought I was bringing snow tires.
My appointment was at 1 and it was downtownish so I killed time for an hour and wandered back down around 2 after not hearing from them. That's when I found out about the no snow tires. They hadn't called me because "someone came in with a flat tire" which , I guess, took all 4 people who were there to deal with it and I still had to wait for the oil change.
Thankfully I was able to get in touch with another garage who had in stock a set of snow tires and was having a sale on the mount and balance. They worked me in and I was down in less time than the other place.
Then I went to the grocery store where it was a mad house and over spent slightly.
But I have really good snow tires and I don't have to face driving to Burlington tomorrow in possible rain/sleet/snow with regular tires.
Snow tires! On the rare occasions that I am in snow areas I let the experienced people drive. I R chicken.
So I am having the smallest gathering for Thanksgiving in years so I decided on a more formal variety of dinner. Just got back from shopping. A zoo out there for sure. So the menu is: Champagne punch, blue cheese and pear tarts, veggie soup, broc/cheddar casserole, sweet potatoes, cranberry relish, stuffing, and of course turkey, although half of us are vegetarian. A bought a bunch of fresh fruit to make a layered fruit and whipped cream thing. I know MIL and SIL will bring tons of dessert type things so I never worry about that. I think the grandparents don't appreciate when I go for the unique new recipes so traditional fare. Now I'm hungry.
I'm not looking forward to this. The original forecast was for "rain, sleet, and snow" , I guess all at the same time, but it's been revised to snow in the mornings in Burlington and then sun. But it should snow most of the day here. I think Saint Albans is going to get 2-5 inches. But the snow will pack down and turn to ice on the roads.
Luckily the forecast for the rest of the week is sunny.
Which is good because I'm working Thanksgiving 7 pm - 11 pm and I really don't want to drive home at 11:00 in the snow.
Laura, that sounds really good!
