Pix, I am so sorry. I hope you were able to get some sleep.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Pix,
man, I hope you get relief soon. As someone who once had to take vicodin AND advil for cramps, I can believe that you don't have anything more serious going on - despite all the pain.
Those little fucker female organs are a bitch.
{{Pix}} I hope you were able to get some sleep and that your doctor has a better solution.
Health ~ma going out to Dana's grandma. I'll leave the smiting of the doctors to others more eloquent.
Has anyone heard from Matt the Bruins Fan? I have been thinking about him a lot and don't know if he has internet yet.
Today is doctor day for me. A bunch of cardiac type checks. EKG, Echo, US, blood stuff. The only annoying part is no coffee or breakfast or anything until probably after noon. I would have slept in, but it didn't happen.
Matt posted in Natter yesterday.
((Pix))
Thanks, Tom. I'll drop him a note.
Aw, Pix, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I really hope your OB/GYN can find a solution.
Pix, honey, that is awful. Take it as easy as you can, and I'm glad you're going to see the doctor.
My dear and darling father, when you call and ask, "Is this a good time to talk?" and I respond, "Actually, I have a nasty migraine," that doesn't mean "Sure, I can talk for fifteen minutes." That means "I am focusing on not barfing and keeping my brain from leaking out my skull and your voice is making all the hurty bits vibrate unpleasantly but ironically I can't even muster the words to tell you that I need to go so I'm just going to suffer."
I'm at work. We had a group meeting this morning. They are so non-feedbacky. They just sit there like sullen teenagers, for the most part. IDK. And any time I double check on something, someone gets pissy. But if I don't double check, shit gets forgotten. Oy.
smsonster, why don't you have them take turns starting off leading the meeting (making an agenda with you, etc.), then you can do a wrap-up?
Generally, you have more respect for a process (like, um, teaching or leading) when YOU get put in that role for a bit, and see how frustrating it is.
Pix, sweetie, oh, I am sorry. That's so frustrating, I know. I hope your GYN finds a good solution. Have you been dildocammed yet? Or is that too painful to be a good option at this moment?
Cause if you haven't had a vag ultrasound, I have doubts about your gyno....

Actually, part of the meeting was about implementing a work rotation so they will be taking turns in different roles for a week at a time. Site manager, safety officer, batteries/water/supplies, etc. I have to admit I'm looking forward to the schadenfreude I will get hearing them bitch about how much it sucks to be in charge, but I'm hoping that long term it will make them all more amenable to working together as a team, and it will also give them leadership roles to put on their resumes (which point I made this morning).
I'm helping my mom put together an order of Thanksgiving food from Whole Foods. I'm cooking less than usual this year, because I'm trying to rest, so we're ordering more than usual. My mom keeps going back and forth on question like whether we need a half pint or a pint of gravy, and it's driving me nuts -- she keeps making a decision, and then questioning it.
