I've enjoyed Atlanta the two times I've gone. Ginger is lovely, and a non-Buffista friend works there for the CDC.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
$50,000 goes a lot further in Atlanta. You could buy a house.
Fortunately, my symptoms only coincide with weird tropical diseases I know I don't have. I believe I'll go to bed.
So long as you are still fully aware you don't have them, it's okay. If you start actually convincing yourself you do, put down the whatever.
Sean, that is a good living doing something you enjoy and it's high praise when people so value your skills. I'd consider it. You can move again. A really good salary and full benefits are pretty good for the sense of self and worth.
And Atlanta is awesome.
And Ginger is there, which only ups the awesome quotient.
That's great, Sean - and what they all said. About the job and the city. Plus dolphins.
Sean I think it's awesome that you are in the running for that. You don't have to make a decision but Atlanta is a great city plus the airport is a major hub so that's another plus.
But I really don't want to leave LA.
Yeah you do! For a steady job with good pay in the field you love!
It's better than having no car and no money and eating dust bunnies, dude.
Besides, Georgia girls will totally fall for your charms.
Screw Georgia--dolphins man!! Dolphins!
waves wildly 20 or 25 miles southwards at meara:: (assuming you're either Downtown or Mission Valley) Hope you have lots of dance-y fun! I didn't even realize there was a swing convention this weekend, but I'm primarily Lindy, not West Coast (also have been hermitty for the last however-many months), so guess I missed a memo. Too bad, that would have been awesome to randomly run into a Buffista. Anyway, have fun while you're here!
Hey girl hey. We are on...Hotel Circle? By some mall? Dunno. But I do wish I could dance as good as many of these people!
Hotel Circle is what I'd call the west end of Mission Valley. And Fashion Valley is not a bad mall if you need mall stuff.
I kinda miss San Diego. Not the crowds all of the time, but the neighborhoods. If I ever get the chance to work really close to a place I'd want to live, I could move back there. I am just over commuting. And daily traffic.
I think you guys are right, that it's to good to pass up (that seems to be the consensus from others I've talked to as well). I'm glad I have a little time to think about/assimilate it. I mean, it's not even an offer yet.
