But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Laura, you have a handsome son!

We're at Mom's for the weekend. We bought dinner at the clam shack that I took the buffistas to during the Providence F2F. I'm so full now.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

What a grown up! Though I miss the duct tape.

Mom just called and with no introduction, "I found our spoons!" After several back and forths of me having no idea what she meant, I figured out she found the silicone stirring spoons that we both have, both love and both couldn't remember where we found them. So I am getting more spoons. Yay spoons.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Love the pics, Laura, he looks great!

So I am getting more spoons. Yay spoons.

We could all use a few more spoons.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I could use more metaphorical spoons. I've felt achy all day, but it only just occurred to me to take my temperature. Yep, that's why I feel achy. What fresh hell is this?

Oh, Ginger, that sucks. I wish I could give you spoons.

Ugh, Ginger.

I was so optimistic when she said she found more spoons. I am still happy about the silicone but I was really hoping for a stash of metaphorical spoons to be honest.

I have a slightly sore throat, but the main symptoms are the joint aches and a pretty high fever. It doesn't help that I've been reading about pandemic influenza.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope it is an over with quickly variety of bug, Ginger. Sending virtual chicken soup.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Caught up in time to go home, one quick post...

::waves wildly 20 or 25 miles southwards at meara:: (assuming you're either Downtown or Mission Valley) Hope you have lots of dance-y fun! I didn't even realize there was a swing convention this weekend, but I'm primarily Lindy, not West Coast (also have been hermitty for the last however-many months), so guess I missed a memo. Too bad, that would have been awesome to randomly run into a Buffista. Anyway, have fun while you're here!

bonny, I think you are being super-sensible and your reasoning is very logical and healthy. And I too like to hear about your peace march stories!

What she said.

Strix, how's today going? Baby steps, baby steps (repeat as required). Sounds like things are traveling in a positive direction!

Bummed I can't see Bobby's prom pic. I'll have to wait for home to be able to access FB. (And like the others will probably superimpose the duct tape pic with huge grin over the dapper young man).

WS, hope those extra work days go easy and you enjoy your well-deserved vacay.

Ginger, feel better soon. Do you need us to Doblerize you about stepping away from WebMD?

And now to rush home and change to rush out again. A dance group I've been meaning to check out is hosting a going-away party for a guy I know from another organization - who's going away to the Peace Corps for a coupla years. I didn't even realize he was part of the dancers, so bummer to find out his last time, but at least he's finally providing me with the impetus I've been needing to come out and join them.

Anyway, lovely weekends to all! Mwah!
