I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I would skip the duct tape.

I LOL'd at Laura, specifically, giving this advice.

Our wings are not tired.

I was curious as to whether that reference would be caught.

I'm still delighted with how much energy I have with the current diet. It has been over a month since I had coffee, or wine for that matter. Nothing but herbal tea and water until yesterday when I added fresh lemon and stevia to my fizzy water for a change of pace.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I backslid a little yesterday. I spent 3 hours, no shit, staring blankly out my office window, just chock full of ennui.

Your brain is going through some shit right now, Strixy... it may just need to do that sometimes.

I was curious as to whether that reference would be caught.

Caught and snort-laughed in the office, my friend.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Y'all, I am so tired I cannot READ.

By which I mean, no fiction. I can more or less concentrate long enough to read most of the posts around here even if I cannot remember well enough to meara them later. But I have Discworld, Tolkien, and a collaboration written by two of my favorite fafic writers waiting to be read, and I Cannot.

And then I let one of my bosses con me into working on Sunday and Monday. Those are my two days off which were supposed to leqd into some vacation time I had asked for. She is giving me the vacation time but I am going to have to do some serious meditation and Releases/Affirmations to make it through until then.

One consolation is that I have briefly met two of the new people I am going to be working with the next few days, and I like them a lot. A lot, a lot. I like them like I would like a big fluffly friendly Alot.

Our wings are not tired.

Liking the people you are working with makes a huge difference. I hope you are able to get some renewing rest soon.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I was curious as to whether that reference would be caught.

Oh yeah. I don't see duct tape without laughing and thinking of you.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Go you Strix with the productivity. I was feeling all unproductive yesterday until I remembered that I wrote like 5 pages on a new plot bunny. Plot bunnies are coming faster than I can write them, which is an improvement over the usual, but not sure how to corral them all.

No date. Apparently a large portion of the class is going in groups of people.

I would have gone to my prom if I could have gone in a group instead of on a date. Instead the guy I was crushing (not dating) at the time refused to go to the prom, but took me to see Little Shop of Horrors instead. On balance, I've never regretted it.

I don't know why I had never tied a bow tie before, but it worked.

Stylin'!

No duct tape necessary.
