Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

It was a really bad week and I appreciate each one of you being there for me, even if I disappeared.

The great thing about invisible friends is that we're here for you even if we can't see you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The great thing about invisible friends is that we're here for you even if we can't see you.

Wait....who's invisible? Us or her? I'm *so* confused....

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Mutually assured invisibility.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

(You can't see this, because we're all invisible.)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

speak for yourself, visible lady

The impreciseness appealed to me.

We're the invisible people in the box for Maria and she went invisible to us briefly.

Whoa, the sun is out! Hello, sun. I think I never fully woke up today until now.

This is very true, whichever way you parse it.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Pete got me roses, and there are question marks and times written on the calendar for tonight, Saturday, and Sunday, so I think there Is Stuff going on.

I'm confused.

I have to go to a networking thing now. I hope people can see me...

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday, Jilli!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Happy birthay, Jilli! You your own self are a huge gift to all the rest of us; in addition to birthday wishes to you, I'm sending love and "Well done you!" vibes to your dad and your mom's spirit for bringing you into the world. They did splendidly, truly.

Lots of vibes to Bartleby and comfort to bonny.

And all my good thoughts ever to Maria. So very, deeply good to see your pixels.

ION, not sure if I should post this in Press, but I just heard about this group and they seem like a good site to bookmark: Take Them A Meal, basically a crisis-related cat-herding website. If someone you know is having surgery or on bed rest or bereaved and immobilized with grief, it's an easy way to coordinate making sure they get fed (and get food they can actually eat). Someone just sent me a link on my aunt's behalf -- she just had back surgery, and her church group used the website to set up a regular schedule for the month she'll be home but in bed. You can check for dietary restrictions, find out which meals still need a volunteer, get directions to the house or (if you're too harried or too far away) just make a donation and have the website order and deliver a meal. Freaking genius.
