[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with what is obviously a dreadful mess, Sox.

I feel like I'm the victim of some kind of horrible head-inflating experiment.

Whine, whine.

I've had a lifetime of bronchitis and some years of sinus infections. I don't like them, but I know how to cope with those. Somehow dealing with something unfamiliar is worse.

I keep telling myself that at least I don't have to get on a plane.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Nora, that's terrifying! Speedy and complete recovery to your poor friend, and your colleague too.

Stupid sinuses, Ginger! What are they for, anyway?

"I know these documents are confusing."

Buh? Sox, I doubt the problem is that you were confused...

I have had the unpleasant and rather painful ultrasound. I have fibroids. Which explains a lot. However, they are neither huge nor plentiful, so the doctor has recommended Mirena to control the pain and excessive bleeding. The upside of the IUD seems to be, no surgery, bonus birth control, and no periods (much). The downside is, it creeps me out. But it's better than not-really-necessary surgery, so I guess I'll get over my issues and do it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude, the Mirena is great!

I hope that it works for you, my sister in the fibroid.

not your mom's socks.

Buh? Sox, I doubt the problem is that you were confused...

I know, right? I have a call back coming in 15 minutes, and a house full of shrieking girls. this should be awesome. Dear Bank Tino: Make this right or I will feed you to the 2nd grade.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

The Mirena is awesomesauce. I haven't had a period in over 5 years.

Zenkitty,

I had laproscopic surgery to remove my fibroid. It was okay. But at the time, I just had the one and it was causing me a whole lot of distress. To be on vicodin AND ibuprofen every month along with the other complications was no fucking fun.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, all. I like the no-more-periods thing about the Mirena.
