I'm grateful Kristin was here last night.
I'm going to make her get up soon and do yoga. Hoping it's a class I can cry through because that's probably inevitable.
(Huh. You can't just type and have things post themselves.)
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Probably. You'll find yourself crying through a lot of stuff, some unexpected, in my experience. You just go with it and don't worry about what anyone thinks.
I can't decide if it's great or shabby that my childhood BFF was planning to move to Florida without telling me about it. Our relationship has subsisted on fumes and nostalgia for a long time now(Plus, there was an embarrassing thing between her dad and my mom that has made keeping in touch now...awkward, to say the least. So that's the "Great! I'm free," part.) But really...we've known each other for, like, 35 years, and that's the best you can do?(of course, her parents were the kind of hippies that thought they were freeing their children by not teaching them manners, so my mom's voice is in my ear right now, all "What would you expect?" and only partially because her dad tried to hit on her.) For a long time, we had each other, and that was about it.(Which I do understand having mixed feelings about, but...)
Cass, I'm glad Kristin's there to be support, and hope yoga is cathartic.
erika, it's always weird when a long-term friendship goes poof.
Yeah, I can see the awkward in that, erika.
I hope the yoga is soothing or cathartic, whichever you need, Cass.
Yeah, we pretty much only talk on our birthdays and forward petitions now, but I would consider crossing the country to be, you know, news.
Actually, the pass was only half the awkward there(although that was enough, as until I was a teenager, they were practically like my family. You don't really think of even a play uncle as having genitals, especially not ones requiring...entertainment.) But the break-up of such a long marriage freed him to be open about all sorts of matters as family dynamics, in ways that would be uncomfortable to everyone. And I think my friend is asexual, so talking about hitting on people has never made sense to her anyway.
Yoga was soothing and lovely.
Cass, best circumstance about a horrible circumstance is getting to be there, with him and with the rest of your family. And being surrounded by love as well as the loved ones.
