Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Comin' up blank here.

Me too.

Thanks, Pix. My depression usually works the opposite way, and even when my acid reflux is bad, I'm never not hungry. So it is a weird feeling for me.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

What Pix said, Strix, sj, Liese.

Vortex, they should only be so lucky. Be kind.

Maria, I'm so excited about your news. And that you're excited about it. Good things, you deserve good things.

Someone please remind me why I shouldn't flirt with college rugby boys

You might spoil them for college girls?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Maria,

Can you do a short sale? Apparently it is all the rage.

Typo,

I hope your pain is okay but disc problems sound serious.

sj,

Hoping eating is working for you.

(Catching up)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Someone please remind me why I shouldn't flirt with college rugby boys.

Unless they can't legally get into bars, I've got nothing for you.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

A man's gotta pay his way somehow.

Thrive to spite them

So the past week has had it's stresses but I've handled things really well. Especially since my period just started and last month that happened I was feeling really bad in a mixed state and then depressed.

But, since the increase in my meds things have been up and I've been much more even keeled and much less anxiety. Even dealing with Comcast HELL yesterday while I was ravenous didn't lead to a complete melt down. I wasn't as calm as I could have been but I did have to make 3 phone calls, got transferred back and forth between the same two departments multiple times and I think overall spoke to 6 people, each one who assured me they could fix the problem.

The problem got fixed with a new modem that got installed this morning! I have faster Internet but I can't really tell yet. Not sure how to test it.

And one of my cousins de friended me on Facebook. She's done it before but this time it was really obvious because I commented on one of her posts and went back to see if she had replied and she was gone from my list.

She posted a graphic wiht a picture of a group of Muslims praying and a picture of Tim Tebow Tebowing and said something like "Why is this okay and this is not" the Not being Tebow. Comment and Share only if you agree.

Well I didn't agree so I commented. I said there's nothing wrong with either except in the first picture there's a group of people who all practice the same religion praying together in the manner customary to their religion. Whereas in the second Tebow is praying at a secular event. And there's nothing really wrong with that but it's kind of showy. And th only thing I can remember about how to pray being mentioned in the Bible is The Lord's Prayer and praying privately and not being showy. Also that if God wanted Tebow to be a NFL quarterback he would have given him the skills. Which is kind of a low blow.

But really Tebow doesn't have the skills.

However, this particular cousin is of the Conservative Christian variety and prone to flounces and huffs.
