You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Wedding dress! Whoo!

My nutritionist wants me to measure things exactly, but I have tried that before and find it makes me resentful and cranky to the point where I overeat more later.

There are tricks to this that make it easier to eyeball stuff but also be close to accurate (at least according to the nutritionist I saw years ago).

Such as, three ounces of meat (which is a more or less standard portion to go by at dinner) looks like a deck of cards. Meatballs should be the size of ping pong balls, or adjust accordingly, etc.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at eyeballing things, but she's super precise.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm curious how alteration-able the fabric will be (the bodice, at least, is a stretchy poly dealie). Obviously the original bolt of fabric could be cut and sewn into a dress, so I'm sure the fabric can be altered some. But I wonder how much.

I'm right between sizes, and according to the website, the larger size was "selling quickly" (the smaller size was merely listed as "in stock"). So I went with the larger size (although the website says their clothes run large), because I didn't want to order the smaller one, find out it doesn't fit, and then have the larger one be sold out because I waited too long.

I took my measurements before I ordered; it wasn't just a guess of "Well, I'm normally an 18, unless it's a pencil skirt," etc. And my measurements are right smack in between sizes. Better, I suppose, to have a dress that's too large, because it can be taken in, while it's pretty damn hard to embiggen a dress that's too small.

(Also, I switched car insurance companies tonight and I'm saving $260 and change a year. Which is more than my wedding dress. Thanks for buying my dress, Geico!)

Way better. And a wedding dress is the one dress you are nearly guaranteed will be altered and tailored to fit. Unless you are Jilli and then it's Tuesday. But better to have places to take in than places you don't have enough fabric for...
