Wow. That is horrific. Not sure I would wish that on anyone. But still. Really wish they didn't cause me such grief either. It sucks trying to be not selfish and vengeful.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Omnis - cant believe how aggravating yor insurance co is . They need major clue-sticking.
omnis,
you have rights WRT collection agencies. You might want to see what they can do (and can't) especially as it relates to health-related bills.
I suppose the other thing you can do is file a small claims court proceeding against one or more of the parties. You also might want to see if you can file a complaint with the agency overseeing the insurance company or collections agency (state or federal; e.g. attorney general).
You can definitely send a letter to the three credit agencies requesting a correction.
Yes, first I need to get it resolved.
If this round doesn't clean it all up, I'm contacting a lawyer. I just fear that the money I would have paid to the collections will go to the lawyer. And the goal isn't to keep money from the hospital/collections, it is to keep the money for myself.
Ugh, Omnis. What a mess. Best of luck getting it straightened out.
I went to a new hairdresser today and had my hair colored and cut. I really like it and the new hairdresser. We had the whole place to ourselves because everyone else canceled due to the snow. It turned out she also has an Italian background; so we spent the whole time talking about food, various area restaurants, and our crazy families. And she lives right down the street from me.
One thing, when I took my mother to the emergency room, after they stopped the bleeding I got her some juice. They did not object exactly, but seemed to think it was a quack remedy, no harm, but no great benefit. Every time I donate blood the red cross people insist on my having something sweet before I leave - donut or juice. Water is not enough. My mother actually fainted in the emergency room from blood loss before they stopped her bleeding, and her systolic momentarily dropped to 30 [On edit - Dystolic - the bottom one of the pair]. Doesn't that seem like she lost at least as much blood as a normal blood donor gives? And she is only five one. Did it really not make sense to get some sugar into her as part of the recovery process?
And Omni, health insurance is indeed the devil, even if some very nice people work for health insurance companies. I hope you can get it all straightened out. When you hire a lawyer, try and negotiate a package where you negotiate a per letter fee for up to three letters. Often a good lawyer can get the other side to behave reasonably just via letters. The price should not be too high, because the letters will really be written by paralegals with a few sentences of instruction from the lawyer.
If letters fail then you can negotiate a price for further action.
Yay, sj. Finding a good hairdresser is a win. Also, pictures?
Typo, my family donates blood often and they always feed them. Good grief. Surprised they didn't offer themselves.
I will NEVER stop laughing. This is the tie Tim is going to wear when we get married. For reals: [link]
