Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

I've been given notice that they will not allow me to stay and I have until Feb 28th to get out.

Oh, sumi, I'm so sorry. We were literally just there. (We're at my parents' temporarily.) It is hugely stressful, but your best bet is to start looking for something immediately, and get out. By doing it this way, they're not giving you an official eviction notice, which some rental places will ask about later, and even though actual eviction can take time, there are ways for a landlord to get around it (as we found out the hard way).

All kinds of ~ma and many hugs.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sumi, I'm so sorry. I hope you can figure something out quickly. Tons of ~ma headed your way.

Laura, I'm so glad you weren't hurt.

TCG and I went to see Crime and Punishment at Trinity Rep in Providence today. Dan Butler was in it. I guess he has been a regular at Trinity once upon a time, but it was before I started seeing plays there. The adaptation was excellent, and we went out for a mostly free to us (thanks to a Christmas gift of a groupon) dinner.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I spent the day cleaning all the things and doing my taxes. I feel good. High-fiving myself.

aaaand I just read through - sumi, that really sucks. I hope you find a good place to move to quickly.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh no, sumi! That sucks. I hope you find a new place to live soon and can put this all behind you.

The house finally looks like Mardi Gras is no longer barfing in it which is kind of a relief. Tom hauled ass to clean the place up which was quite awesome... I was busy writing the first draft of my big article that's due Thursday. Which I finished doing, hooray! Editing tomorrow, and maybe starting on the shorter article due on March 1.

Feels good to have a draft done, damn.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Laura, I'm glad you're ok. I really think other driver, witness, and police officer really could have come up with some less traumatic way to hang out with you, but I can hardly blame them for wanting to.

Sumi, RRAAAAAGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sumi, that sucks. I hope you find another place, soon. How awful to think you were caught up and then find out you're not!

askye, god. That sounds absolutely miserable. I hope spending time with Will helps for at least a little while.

He cut our walk short after five minutes and has been alternating between licking his paws and giving me a "What is this f---ery, woman?" looks since we came back.

I needed that laugh.

Laura, my dear, I'm glad you are okay and as usual, JZ says what I want to say so beautifully.

D took me for a wonderful Italian dinner and then amazing music, which was delightful. And then I had a PMS/alcohol - fueled freakout, but we talked about it and things are better. I need to learn to speak up in the moment when his joking goes too far.

Right now he's walking the dog and getting croissants, and then he's going to fix breakfast.

Thrive to spite them

Just found out our favorite diner is under new ownership. The same people own several diners around the area and we liked it because the food was good, they didn't skimp on the portions, the prices were right, the service was always prompt. Some of it was frozen veggies or canned veggies but it was a diner.

I should be happy the new owners are all about locally sourced and made from scratch food and one of the new menu items is bacon waffles with maple butter. They also plan on making doughnuts in house.

But the new owners also own a nice restaurant here in town and the service sucks. We've only been there three times because the service is so damn slow. We've given that place 3 tries and Will won't go back because the service was so slow (seriously last time we waited to be seated for nearly 10 minutes and they put us in the empty table we'd been standing next to the whole time).

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Home from Paris. Sick. Fall down go boom.

Trip was best decision I've made in a long time. Thanks for everything over the last year, my Buffista army.
