Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My grandfather never wore his wedding ring because of where he worked. He started wearing it after he retired and lost it within a week.

His is going to have to be something indestructible, since he works in a warehouse (I told him I don't give one damn if he chose to not wear his band at work, but he says he wants to), and I'm guessing the twist of a mobius loop would catch on stuff. His is going to need to be flat and, like, carbon fiber or something. (There are carbon fiber bands, and they're cool as hell.)

My ring is tungsten carbide as well. In fact if my memory is right I think it is even the same design as Juliana with a laser etched Celtic Dragon on it. I have it for similar reasons, virtually indestructible. Mine looks the same as the day we bought it. Very tough, and will shatter before it crushes which is actually good in a finger pinch situation. They cannot be resized or engraved, but since it isn't a precious metal it's not a super expensive ring. I love love love mine.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

No good deed goes unpunished, right? So this week I bought Mom a new cell phone, and switched her to my plan (she was on a GoPhone, but all the talking to bf meant $30-40/mo, and me having to recharge the damn minutes). Now I'm getting tech support calls from her on how to work the phone. I swear, I got the simplest one I could. ::sigh::

ION- very productive today: load of laundry, load of dishes, took out the trash, dealt with insurance/collection agency, went to bank, got hair cut, went to post office, food shopping. Now starting to cook for mini dinner party. I think I picked a good day to play hookie! It was 82º and sunny!!

Oh, I'm cracking up. One website says "Our large selection of gorgeous tungsten carbide wedding bands is sure to instill commitment and integrity into your marriage."

Well, thank god, because we sure didn't have THOSE before your lovely jewelry.

Now, do you have anything in a women's wedding band that will instill motivation and the ability to get out of bed in the morning without hitting snooze? Because that would be swell.

askye, I'm not sure what a mixed state is, but I'm thinking of you and hoping things improve.

The wedding band discussion is very interesting... I wonder what I would get. I do wear one silver ring 24/7. I had two others I wore but they kept getting gunked up with glazing putty so I took them off and not I can't find them.

Just had dinner with a friend from HS I hadn't seen in at least seventeen years. We ate All The Foods and it was awesome. We were cashiers at a grocery store together, my first real job. Good times.

My ring configuration is all screwed up now. I have to move them around, and it neither looks nor feels right. Small price to pay, though.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Our rings are silver, and cheap, and readily available. Which is good because the SO is notorious about it and is on his fourth one. The last one I bought on clearance for $25.

I went and tried mine on, but it doesn't fit yet. Soon, I hope.

Our wings are not tired.

My rings have been stuck on my finger for a decade or so. I refuse to have them removed and re-sized. I will be able to remove them again one day. DH has lost 2 (maybe 3) really nice bands. I MIGHT get him another one this year.

So, I wrecked my car yesterday leaving the office parking lot to go home for lunch. Really unhappy with myself about it. I know better than to leave on that end of the parking lot because visibility is crap. And it was raining. So DH is driving it to the repair place today and I don't know how long it will be or how much it will be, but it won't be pretty. I'm a bit sore, but that is as likely stress and tension as it is being banged around. I'm hoping I can get away with my family not finding out because I don't want to think or talk about it. Except apparently here since I guess I have to tell someone how stupid I feel. No time for this.

I'm taking this as a sign I need to ride my bike to work more often, but it was raining, so I didn't.

Aww, Laura, that's no fun. Glad you're ok.
