Hah--I've been using my phone as alarm for years now, since I travel so much. But I was his reminded that I used to set my clock radio to NPR, but then would hit snooze a few times, and then think "ok, I'll just be in be and listen to it for a minute" an then have crazy NPR dreams as I fell back asleep.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I wish I could sleep in, or failing that, I wish I would frigging train myself to go to bed earlier.
My useless superpower is hitting snooze an infinite number of times and going back to sleep.
Yep. I'll hit the snooze button for an hour, then turn it off and fall back asleep for another two hours. My cat Leo who sleeps with me doesn't even bother to wake up for the alarm anymore. My sleep schedule is currently fucked-up and inverted; I'm drowsy during the day and active at night. I'd like to get it switched back around. I bet my boss would like that too.
I wish I would frigging train myself to go to bed earlier.
Oh, man, this. I stay up too late, and then it catches up with me by the end of the week.
I used to have the math setting turned on, but morning arithmetic turns out to sour my mood way more than predicted.
I'm trying to imagine what the "math setting" on an alarm would be.
"Hey you, don't lie there like a logarithm, it's time to get exponential!"
"Time is frequency, Fourier, get out of bed!"
My superpower is telling myself to wake up at a certain time and then doing so.
I honestly can't remember the last time I heard the alarm. I generally wake up 3 minutes before it goes off.
This tends to backfire on nights like last night when I stayed up way too late. I wanted to, and could, sleep in. Sadly, I said to myself, I don't need to get up at 7:30, right?
You guessed it, woke up at 7:30.
Cayenne gets me up every morning around 7 by propping herself up on the side of the mattress with her paws, and licking my nose to let me know she needs to pee.
I can't remember the last time I got to sleep past 7. But I will say that my terrible habit is getting back to bed (after opening the back dog door for Cayenne) and reading youse guys on my iPhone (along with Twitter/FB) well into the morning. I should be using that time to sleep or just get the hell up. I annoy myself!
Leo wakes me every morning about 5 or 6am. Except on days when I really want or need to get up early, in which case he'll be sound asleep in the cat tree downstairs. He is an unreliable alarm. Contrary beast.
Yikes on the 5 or 6 am!!
I generally wake up 3 minutes before it goes off.
I hate that. I look at the clock and think "I could be asleep!"
