Don't know how to edit on the Nook to say yay Dana! And gold star to dad.
Also need to add to list figuring spell check on Nook browser. Surely my red squiggly lines are an option.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's like, because it's family it doesn't count against us, or something.
Kind of understandable, and yet uggh. And I'm sorry you are my sistah in hip pain. It is no fun.
I survived the parade! I don't hate everyone! My back did not rebel!
Congrats!
smonster, I'm in Lakeview. I have dinner with a friend Monday and a birthday party Wednesday night, but other than that I'm free.
Hmm. I might could do dinner tomorrow; as I said, I may be off on Monday; Tuesday I'll be roaming the Marigny/Quarter in costume and then probably crashing super hard. Nora, what's your schedule like?
I ended up having a spinach quesadilla after the apple, and then quite a lot of M&Ms. And now I think I'm going back to bed and the heating pad again and another book, aka The Land of (Semi-) Happily not dealing.
I am hoping to see Bacchus tomorrow night but if the weather's miserable that may be subject to change.
Dana, were you at Endymion? I saw it for the first time tonight- way downtown where they turn to go down the street the superdome is on. It was very impressive.
I was downtown because of a king cake tasting I went to with my friend A., who's staying with us through to Tuesday. (She lives across the lake in Slidell.) We biked down and had drama, both with trying to get across St. Charles and the fact that I fell and roadrashed the shit out of my left forearm. Ugh, so stupid. It's ok, I didn't break anything, but my muscles are gonna be mad at me for a few days. Not exactly how I wanted to spend the rest of Carnival, but oh well.
smonster, I've been using the Nuva ring for about ten years now, and I love it.
OMG. So I had seen that there was supposedly this dyke night at a gay bar way up north of here (about 45 minutes north, near the Naval base). Got a friend to go with me, and we headed up. Thought it might be kinda sketch, or empty, but maybe there would be hot suburban/country dykes that we don't know?
...turns out it was old ladies. Like, literally. As in, when we left there and decided to go get IHOP because what the hell, some of them walked into IHOP...and ordered senior specials. And were talking about roadtripping in a 15 passenger van...during the bicentennial. OMG.
At least we felt massively hot. But we would've appreciated unattainable eyecandy better, I think.
I just read another whole book. I think I'm avoiding something but I'm not sure what. Being overwhelmed, I think, by Mardi Gras and needing to find roommates and being broke and dirty dishes and my feelings about D and my chronic pain and moving the last week of this month and my parents coming the first week of March and all my volunteer friends coming the week after that... oh. Okay, that's kind of a lot now that I type it all out. Hmm. I think I need help formulating a plan.
I'll think about it tomorrow. As dog is my witness.
meara, that is kind of funny but I'm sorry the night wasn't what you were hoping for.
That is quite a lot on your plate, smonster. I think you can make a plan and enjoy the festivities the next few days. Reading a book is likely what your body and mind needed as prep.
I just know there is discussion today among the old lady dykes about the hot young meara they admired last night.
{{Nora}} Roadrash sucks. I went down on my butt in the Home Depot parking lot a couple days ago. More embarrassing than anything else.
Yeah, I was at Endymion further up Canal. It was great until the stupid giant float couldn't make the turn and caused a 20 minute delay.

Hee! Totally.
Nora! I forgot to comment on your fall. I am so sorry, but glad you weren't badly hurt.
I emailed D last night to ask for his help in making plans. He seems to make them and change them effortlessly. It's amazing to me.
I've started doing some dishes, which makes me feel better. Not sure if I'm going to make it to parades or not. My hip is really hurting, still, and I think riding my bike is making it worse.
OMG, if you want to hear D talk, he's hosting the paradecam RIGHT NOW. [link]
