Update on the custody battle. Grandma packed some boxes of her stuff and stomped off to another cousin's house and declared she would be gone to NY by the end of the week. My brother in an unusually bold move for him told my niece he was changing the locks before she changed her mind and came back. We are hoping that her internet research and discussions with people that will talk to her has convinced her that a custody pursuit would be fruitless. She has a very volatile nature and it would not shock me if in just a few days she was all sweetness and light and acted like it was her idea for the child to move in with her mother. (you know the type) It is really sad because she can be very giving and helpful, but whoa can she turn on a dime and be vicious. For someone as even tempered as I it is bizarre to observe.

My big accomplishment of today is shifting how I store my shoes and getting them organized. Unfortunately the process didn't really net any shoes to go away. I found room for them all, nice and neat. Going to have to get strict with myself sooner or later and do some serious culling.

Yesterday was a 12 hour + day. Got home about 1:45am. Got to work at 9am. It's just after lunch, and I'm damn close to out of spoons. This week is really going to suck. Ugg.
