Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Does she also think eBooks and music should be free, since there's no book or CD involved? (I support them being CHEAPER due to those things, but surely not free)

Probably, but I'm glad I don't actually know.

Advertising drugs, from what I understand, is bad for their costs.

Ooh, yes, this very much. Especially ads to consumers. Ads to doctors are iffy (and apparently have more influence on them than I'd like), but I understand wanting to get your product and any benefits it may have over other products out there...but really it should be done in the more traditional (and still happens!) way of "Here! I am at your doctor conference for oncology with my poster about how we did a study showing our drug is better than the other drug! Stop by and read my scientific paper, if you'd like!"

Drug companies buy very large quantities of article reprints from us for this very reason (that, and sales visits to physicians' offices). "Look! Our drug was shown in this paper to be statistically superior to placebo! You should start prescribing it!"

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, that sounds better to me than ads. And then, ads for lawyers' settlements for the same crap that was in all the ads last year.

yes, I love seeing those ads for drugs I was on a few years ago. I always think "Huh, I wonder if that's why I was taken off of it."

I happen to love Target pharmacy because of the pill bottles. I know that is frivolous.

The bottles are cool.

I was kind of shocked, really.

In 'the system sucks but some people are nice' news...the clinic called again to apologize for a second time about the prescription debacle.

Phew. I appreciate the effort, for reals.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just left the therapist's office. I did not like her, but I did make another appointment. So, I guess I'll give it one more try.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But no, drug companies are the devil because they don't charge 1 cent a pill for Lipitor.

Well, it costs 1 cent for the active ingredient NOW. But someone had to develop it, figure out if it worked for anything, figure out if it was safe to take... Little things. Drug companies do make a lot of money but the part I don't begrudge them is recouping their initial investment.

I'm sorry it wasn't an instant click. Though, I think I've done better with therapists when I didn't have that auto-click. Their point of view was different enough that it made me step outside of my own brain and look at things from a different perspective. Just me...not saying that works for everyone.
