Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have a, well, a plea. We are signing up for COBRA, but haven't sent in the paperwork yet. I won't have insurance until it does. I leave on Tuesday for 10 days in Holland. Could anyone send me some Ambien or Lunesta to use while I'm away? ten would be great, but five would do. I can do without it if needs be. I only use it for sleeping in a strange place, which is where I'll be.

Scrappy, I don't have any so I can't help you there, but I do struggle a bit with chronic insomnia so I can offer the suggestion that, if you can't get ahold of either Rx, try buying a higher dose of melatonin. I usually take 2.5 mg, and on a bad night can take up to two of them, but you can buy it in 3 mg and even 5 mg dosages. I like the sublingual kind as I find they are the most effective.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Scrappy, best of luck to you getting what you need.

Busy morning so far. I was on the phone with the fertility office trying to schedule three different appointments over the next week, when my insurance company called me on the other phone to tell me they found a therapist for me. And H e-mailed me about babysitting a couple of days over the next couple of weeks. Suddenly my life is much busier than it was last week.

Scrappy, not sure if its a cost-of-rx or a cost of going to doctor to get rx. If the former, since ambien is generic now, you can get it pretty cheaply at a lot of places.

(If its the former, some docs will phone call in a refill if you've had it before, but otherwise I got nothin)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I called the therapist back, and she is going to see me at 2:00 today! Shit I'm nervous. Someone say something calming. When I first called her the number turned out to be her cell phone and she was out of her office, so she asked me to call her back. This does not put me at ease because I have had trouble with therapists in the past who didn't have office managers to make their appointments; as in I would show up for a scheduled appointment and they would look at me like, "why are you here?"

I also agreed to babysit at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning, which I think means rolling out of bed at 4:30.

Our wings are not tired.

Om Om Om Ok, that was supposed to be calming. sj, you are doing what you need to do and headed in the right direction. May 2:00 come quickly and provide some help.

The 6am thing I have no helpful words for, except I will surely be awake too. Not at 4:30 I hope, but 6, yeah.
