I have antibiotics*, and the nurse practitioner agreed that coming in after 17 days was a good idea. She said that you don't have to have a head full of snot for it to be a sinus infection, but suggested I use the neti pot twice a day (instead of once a day, which I had been doing), to see if that helps get anything moving that might be stuck in my sinuses (GROSS). She also recommended sudafed, mucinex, and ibuprofen. So I am loaded with drugs right now. I feel like a poor imitation of Hunter Thompson.
*(I am really not happy about taking antibiotics yet again -- in the past 8 months, this is probably my 5th or 6th round of antibiotics [the rest, IIRC, were for my stupid dental saga]. I really hate disrupting my good bacteria, and I loathe the idea that I'm contributing to antibiotic-resistant superbacteria. But I also don't want an infection hanging out so close to my brain, so antibiotics it is.)
I *despise* the colonoscopy prep.
Ha, your fb feed sounds like mine, smonster. Good on you for getting through it with aplomb. And I hope you can reel in the panic attack; those are no fun at all.
Oh, Windsparrow, no bueno! You definitely deserve some lazing.
Yeah, I know, Tep, I feel the same way. But sometimes you just need to knock that sucker out.
I *despise* the colonoscopy prep.
It is the fucking WORST.
The memory of the "drink" I had to imbibe can still make me shudder.
The worst of the worst. I couldn't finish it all. After getting violently ill, I decided things were as clean as they were going to get.
t shudder
Nasty.
I did ALL the prep. My internist said I didn't prep good enough.
I was like "bitch, please, I followed the nurse's directions. quit the nagging bullshit."
Much health~ma to all sick buffistas. Poor things. I have the strongest urge to cook soup for y'all and feed you.
Shir! Yet another reason we need to have Buffista Island!
