Adding my ~ma to the collection for sj (I'm imagining the ~ma mostly translucent, glowing and shimmering a little, like one of the good happy dreams in the BFG's collection).
'Shells'
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My first experience was while petting a very tall Weimaraner. He seemed quite cozy, pushing up against me...and then I felt the warmth, aaaaallll the way down my leg.
I've also been targeted as I sat on the steps in the dog park.
Oddly, the two dogs I actually 'belong' to have never even tried it.

They don't have to! You already smell like them.
I love dogs.
I am having serious free-floating rage/anxiety today. I'm angry about shit that hasn't even happened.
I have a sinus question. I've been having a lot of sinus pressure and pain, and even some pain in my upper teeth, for over 2 weeks. But no green snot (no unusual/excess amount of snot, actually) at all.
I don't think it's an infection, but the pressure and pain is driving me bonkers. Sudafed and ibuprofen aren't really helping. The neti pot isn't really helping. Warm compresses help temporarily, but then the pressure and pain come back.
I'm inclined to call the doctor, but I don't think they can do anything for me. I guess steroids if the pressure was really bad, but it's not agonizing pain. (I think all my dental stuff and migraines have made my Head Pain Scale recalibrate.) And I'd rather not take steroids if I don't have to. OTOH, this is driving me bonkers, and it's been 17 days.
Should I call the doctor? Opinions?

I'm all for being aggressive about treating anything awry with the ENT or respiratory system. It's just too easy to get some kind of bug in there that lingers for months.
Also, one of the doctors JZ works for was touting the surgery she had to open up the breathing in her sinuses. Something to explore for a long term fix for people with recurrent sinus issues.
Do you have a temperature?
I say doctor, Steph.
Quick vent - man, riding my bike all over this weekend jacked my hip up, which means I didn't sleep well and spent over an hour in the middle of the night doing acupressure. So I'm tired and in pain and my coworker is out sick, possibly for the whole day depending on what the doc says. And I was an hour late, and I really don't work very well on my own. I'm moving like molasses in January (well, January where it's cold), and I'm just trying to stay with it and keep moving and not beat myself up too much. But boyo, is it hard.
Do you have a temperature?
I doubt it, but I don't have a thermometer at hand.
One of my co-workers is a former RN, and we occasionally consult her like she's Dr. Oz, so I asked her opinion and she said, "How many days? Yeah, call your doctor right now."
The nurse practitioner in my doctor's office can see me at 3:00, so off I go.
I seriously didn't think it was a sinus problem for over a week -- I was honestly worried it was more dental problems. Until I realized it was uniformly on both sides of my upper teeth AND notably where my tooth extraction gap is. No tooth (or roots) should mean no pain. So clearly THAT ain't a dental thing.
Wow, do I not want more antibiotics. Meh.
I would like one of these please.
I'd love hair that I can toss in the washer. Not to mention, finally realizing my dream to be a 1940s screen siren.
Drama! I just realized that in re-doing the cable for cheaper, we DON"T HAVE ANIMAL PLANET! How will we watch the Puppy Bowl?!? Hedgehog cheerleaders!!
