'Underneath'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Capability Brown was also a famous landscape architect in the 19th century, I believe.

Punishingly Intricate

That's who our CB is named after, Meara!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got an email from the dog rescue. They're not going to let me adopt this dog -- her foster family thinks that she'll be better off with someone who's home more often than I am.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, Hil. I hope the right dog comes your way soon.

Trust my rage

You know, the standard for maintaining your parental rights is something along the lines of feeding and clothing your kid and making sure they are supervised and have a place to sleep. I'm not sure I see why the standard for adopting a dog should be higher.

Sorry, Hil.

Our wings are not tired.

Without knowing the specific dogs it is possible that the animal's personality wasn't suited for being alone during the day for x number of hours. Some of my animals were totally ok with staying home, and others I had to take to work with me.

Zoe is fine all day by herself, but I try and get home for lunch if I can. Brandy had to come to work with me. She literally howled the entire time she was left alone. Non-stop. Same thing with being left in the car. If my family went out to dinner together we had to take turns keeping the dog company in the car.
