I know Scrapple, Hemingway, Fenway, Speck, Rock, Thelma&Louise (matching Coonhounds), Sparkplug (don't call him Sparky), Sir, Gary, Pony, Bob (those last three were Bartleby's good friend), Bix (as in Biderbeck, Cagney's bestie), Odin, Marco&Polo (matching black Pugs), Turtle and Goose...who is a Grey Greyhound. Oh, and Tatertot.
I am amazed that I have yet to meet a dog named Bacon.
Cagney was nearly Gimli and, if I had a matched set, I would probably name them Leto and Ghanima.
Dog naming is an art.
I've long planned to name my (someday) dogs Nancyboy and Widowmaker.
We used to have German short haired pointers, Guiness and Stout, at the park, but they moved. Couple of Murphys, couple of Jacksons. Darby's walk buddies are Titus and Chopper. One-eyed Maggie, Hero, Raider, Rocky, Bowie. Not a lot of people names in this hood, now I think about it.
My parents don't use any grand- term for my cats, but they do buy Christmas presents for them.
Aloysius and Sylvester, nicknames Wishy and Vesty.
Those are good names! Mine are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with the everyday names of Rosie and Gilda.
Oh my goodness, we have masses of Murphys and Jacksons. And quite a few Hanks.
Ulysses is a pointer pup Cagney plays with sometimes. Every time I call him Uli, I think of Earth 2. I know I should be more literary, but hey, what can I say.
Hank, check. But his brother is Batman.
Dogs: Truman and Chet. Cats: Zorro and Squeaky Fromme.
Dogs I know or have knownare: Madison, Emma, Jake,Josie, Bell, Trudy, Ellie, Daisy,Baby, and Doodlebug.
As I have mentioned before, if ever I buy a cat I intend to name it Monoxide.
Aloysius and Sylvester, nicknames Wishy and Vesty.
Those are good names! Mine are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with the everyday names of Rosie and Gilda.
Those are both good pairs of names! Mine are Worthington and Chesterfield. They're very dignified.
