sj, I found it totally adorable when I strolled back into the game viewing room and Kevin looked at me and said, "wow, did you hear that guy, I can't believe how loud he was, good thing we chased him out." We have this informal deal where I don't mind how boisterous they get when playing and watching games, and they don't take it personal when I depart to my quiet space.
'Sleeper'
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Heh. Ryan's grandfather enjoys watching sports (basketball is a particular favourite). He's been watching the Australian Open. Ryan told us yesterday that he didn't want to watch tennis with WaiGong anymore, because he was "too noisy".
Strix, i am so sorry for your loss.
I want cookies! And I'd be willing to make some but I have no mixer and I'm not creaming butter and sugar by hand. But tomorrow I'm going to make some spiced applesauce muffins.
I.... have never heard of that before. It never in all my life occurred to me that there was an alternative to the hand cramps.
Thanks, all, for understanding. They'll trickle out.
Nostalgia. I met him in 1990. His house was legendary; proper Bostonian gourmand who took in students, bohemian, radical, whatever, as long as you were imaginative, creative, smart, or intellectually passionate or any combo thereof. We spent too much time at his house, talking about everything under the sun.
He introduced me to foie gras and Sauternes, among other things. Nina Simone and Etta James -- heard them for the first time there.
Sad news, strixy. I'm sorry.
Good job, Ryan! And nice to see you Miracleman!
ION, I am quite quie inebriated. How have we not all-you-can drink karaoke-ed? Seems like a bitchish thing to do. What kind of kir is plum wine and champagne? It's avery delisious one whatever its called.
catching up on the interwebs and then to eat chocolate coupcakes and watch downton. SCORE!
I 'm sorry, strix.
yeah - I can live with the noise , but don't love it. Matt tends to yet at news and political commentary. I remind him that the little people in the box can't hear him. If I had said that to my father , I would have gotten in somesort of trouble. At the very least there would have been more yelling
chocolate coupcakes
Every revolution should serve these.
:)
Strix, sorry for your loss. Please do tell more stories.
MIRACLEMAN!!! Great to see your pixels. Hope to see more of you around here!
Today was a loong day. I got to work at 8:30am, left at 9:42pm. Most of it on my feet. Exhausted. A lot accomplished at work. And on the whole, it went well. And everyone was in good disposition. Great success. Tomorrow, I'll be helping M&C again with their new house. They have about 9 more days to finish renovations AND move out of the old place. While working full time jobs. Oy. They got their hands full. Haven't been over in about a week. Excited to see how much they have done in that time.
