Crazy day at work. Rather frustrating outside rental. Ballroom dance school is renting the big theater to do a big recital. They know nothing of production. And were very non-caring, and not realizing they were asking for things not part of the rental package. And then imposing their schedule on us...as in, "Oh, we can't go pick up the rental mics you need to patch in, but I have to go run some errands. So Matt will bring those around 4pm"... even though I said I need to be on the road by 3pm. Ugg. Thankfully home now. Just in time for the sunset. It's pretty, but nothing fab. There are some high altitude formations of birds flying in formation through it. Cool, but no chance my iPad camera will see them.
Soon, I gotta change clothes and head out on the triple date thing. Kinda nervous. Never dated 3 folks at the same time, not to mention on the same date. But, I suppose, since there will be 2 other guys there, it's not quite like a regular 1-on-1 date. Shuold be interesting. Two are teachers, one is an xray technician. As for the guys, one is a property management person, "real outgoing guy". and the other works at a paper plant, and is quiet. At least, that's what the matchmaker gal said. We shall see. Wish me luck!
Then tomorrow, call Mom, and hopefully W isn't up visiting this weekend. Ugg.
I hope tonight is a lot of fun, o-a.
How far away is your mom? Is a in person visit possible?
10 minute drive down the freeway. It'd be shorter, except for the construction traffic at her exit.
Wishing you much hard convo~ma, OA.
The format of the 'date' tonight sounds kinda interesting to me. Not as much pressure as a one on one, yet not as overwhelming as speed dating.
I read the termination letter and said "well, I know what this says, since I wrote it."
Oh, Scrappy. That bites in so many different ways.
Good luck tonight on the date, omnis, and more luck tomorrow talking to your mom.
I went into Fresh Market brain-fogged with hunger and thirst and spent less than $20. Okay, that's because I went in with only a $20 on purpose, but still - I want a gold star. I am so freaking tired - I've worked until at least 6 pm (aka dark) four days in a row this week, and I'm working tomorrow. But I *will* go to Krewe de Vieux tomorrow, dammit!
My allergies are acting up like crazy, and, as usual, my neck muscles are tightening up in response. I really want a massage. I do, however, now have an electric blanket, so at least I'm warm.
Oh, I had electric blankets when I lived up north. Ahhh, warm comfort. Nice!
I've recently come into possession of fleece sheets. HEAVEN. Seriously. So cuddly, comfy and warm. Like sleeping in a stuffed animal. They are making this winter enjoyable...at least the prone portions of the program.
