Buffy: Dancing with you is way better than trying to hook up with some good-looking guy. Xander: I think I liked it more when you were kicking me in my puffy groin.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

~ma for you and your mom, Tep.

Awww, TCG. Such a good one. And Tim, too.

For whatever it's worth, I can assure you that my own Southern experience has fuckall to do with bullshit GWTW chivalry myths or any of the rest of what comes with that version.

And she ain't just whistlin' Dixie.

I got my flu shot on Friday night, had to go to two places. It was the intradermal, and boy was my arm swollen and red and hot and itchy. I think it peaked yesterday though, and I never lost use of my arm, so I'm down with the intradermal.

I bitched about the weather on facebook, so I won't do it here. I'll just say oy, windburned face. And more of the same tomorrow.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I feel for you out there, smonster.

My crazy photographer buddy who basically lives outdoors most of the year posted a photo of himself with icicles in his mustache and frost on his hair and beard from working out in subzero temperatures in Wyoming all day.

It's cold here, but I don't have to be out in it if I don't want to.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am making no-bake coconut snowballs. It seems like the right thing to do.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

he's a 6'4" straight, white dude and quite successful. Privilege and entitlement coming out of his ass. It's like he wants to live in Mad Men.

Well, I just discovered that my brother D would rather talk about disenfranchising stay-at-home-moms, retirees, and IIRC soldiers stationed in combat zones rather than participate in a discussion of all the terms in the Second Amendment. I swear, I feel like such an alien around them, I don't know why I even pretend to consider visiting Ohio.

Thrive to spite them

I hope your Mom is okay Teppy.

I made Cinnamon muffins. They are tasty but I was really craving something with mixed spices and maybe applesauce muffins. I just have to go to the store and exchange the applesauce I bought. I bought the storebrand regular applesauce, not even thinking to look for unsweetened. The ingredients of the applesauce I have: apples, corn sryup, high fructose corn syrup. So I'm assuming it's not so much applesauce as apple flavored corn syrup.

Oy. I'm trying to support my sister through a meltdown in a compassionate way, and it is challenging. Her self-awareness is miles better than even a few years ago, but it's so painful to see the way she judges herself and others.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

As someone allergic to chicken eggs, and thus not able to get my own flu vaccine, I thank all of you for contributing to the herd immunity. I did get a TDaP booster last week and had several days of sore shoulder in solidarity.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Scan~ma to Teppy's mother. Liver hemangiomas rarely cause any problems; may the odds be in her favor.

There is no monolithic Southern culture. Hell, there are at least three cultures in Tennessee and Georgia has three or four. Erika, your aunt has to be living in middle Tennessee. Middle Tennessee and Kentucky have similar cultures that are quite distinct from the states of the old South. Many of the early settlers came south from Ohio and Indiana. (My great-great-grandparents moved to Middle Tennessee from Indiana.) Tennessee was the last state to secede and the first to rejoin the Union. It's just not "hell no, I ain't fergettin'" country. Anyway, that's a long way of saying that your aunt is full of it.

Typo, I hope you have a doctor's appointment soon, because you're worrying me. I googled and became even more convinced that the human reproductive system alone is all the evidence needed against intelligent design.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Agreeing with Ginger on all counts as usual. I'm from Middle Tennessee.
