I'm sorry, Sean. Sometimes, the best choice for their care is the hardest damn thing in terms of what you'd want.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Going home for lunch ostensibly saves money, but now I'm taking an hour lunch and struggling to get up and go back to work. Maybe I should have gone for banh mi instead.
Semi-relatedly, my hip is killing me and Candy Cane Joe Joes are still my peppermint crack.
I am excited because my roommate went on a cooking spree for the new year, and I get to eat tasty casseroles and/or chili for lunch and dinner!
Less excited to be reminded there are still a couple of candy-cane jo jos in my pantry, calling my name. I should throw them out.
...I should also be doing more work. Ugh.
Sean, I'm so sorry. That decision took tremendous courage and love. For what it's worth, you are a good person.
I'm sorry, Sean. Making the right decision is sometimes very painful and does take so much courage.
{{{Sean}}} I'm so sorry.
Oh Sean, honey. I'm so sorry.
My house is clean and sort of organized, and my fridge is full of leftovers. Who wants to come over?
On the other up side, I came home to discover TEN unemployment claim forms in my mailbox. I had fallen behind last year, and was filing claims for four months ago. Apparently, now that Congress has reauthorized the Federal UI Extension (I'm still in the second tier), they've decided to pay out the remaining almost $4,000 left in my claim all at once. Which I'm not going to say no to.
And, also apparently, I have been collecting UI long enough now, and have done plenty of work in the intervening time, so when I do run out of my Federal Extension, I'll be able to file a whole new CA state claim.
So, there's a nice rose bush amidst the bramble.
I'm glad you have a bit of good news, Sean.
