Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Matchmaking update: First dinner party is set. Jan 4th. About 10 min drive from work. Alas, it's 8pm, so, work late? Eh. We shall see.

Sister update: She leaves in the morning. It's been great seeing her. Will miss her. But happy to see her go. It's little things. Like, my fridge full of styrofoam left overs from restaurants. And me asking when she wants to do left overs, only to learn this afternoon, she doesn't eat left overs. Um. So why did you keep getting boxes from the restaurants?? Whatev. I'll have a full trash tomorrow. It's family. Whatcha going to do.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

She just sent my Jewish husband and atheist self a Christmas card which wished us "more Jesus in your life." Really? REALLY?

Send her a reply saying that sending threatening letters through the mail is a federal offence.

Awww, isn't that special. I'm going to be charitable and chalk it up to cluelessness. I do have to apologize for bursting out laughing, because it kinda cracked me up.

We went for a long boat ride through Fort Lauderdale last night to check out the decorations. I've seen better, but the weather was awesome. Next time we'll check out the displays to the north through Boca Raton.

Honey, you can keep the Jesus. You need it more.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Scrappy, was that just her stock Xmas card she sent to everyone?

I only saw the card she sent my mom, which was different. But maybe everyone else got the Moar Jesus 4 You card.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Still snowing and I've got a fireplace crackling away on my TV (Netflix FTW) with added musical commentary.

ION, one batch of ginger shortbread dough chilling in the fridge. Taking a coffee, and possibly lunch, break and then on to the next type of cookie: Yugoslavian Christmas cookies with all their jammy-nutty goodness.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

But Scrappy, more Jesus might be nice - especially if it means less of her using-the-name-but-not-living-up-to-the-example BS.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is it January yet? I've been overdoing it this week big time, and I can't do much at all today.

Art Crawl!!!

Sadly, still December.

I've actually had a very nice day - despite getting soaked on the way to lunch. And then belatedly learning that lunch was cancelled - but then reinstated. I had a very nice meal, a relaxing time hanging out and knitting and then I called my friend to see if she could join me even though it was later and she did so we hung out for a while. (The cafe had a very nice veggie wrap and black beans and rice dish and then I had a Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie for dessert. That's a chocolate sugar cookie with cinnamon and cayenne. Yummy.)
