sj, that's quite a set of transitions and things. How's it going?
Today's duck nibble: Frankie started limping one block into a two block walk home from the McWarnigles (he waited outside). He kept stopping to lick his left front paw, so I picked him up and carried him home. He didn't want me to look at it, but finally did with lots of well-timed treats, and I couldn't find anything. While I was in the shower he moved from his bed to mine, where he usually sleeps, but he's holding his paw crooked funny and didn't follow me back to the living room when I came to use the laptop.
Man, I hope it heals magically overnight, because I'd have to put a vet visit on my credit card, and that would likely max it out.
I want to hide under my bed for a week. So, really not so well. I just see a giant ball of stress looming over the next several months. On the one hand my upstairs neighbors are evil and I can't wait to get away from them. On the other hand, mortage applications and house hunting and home ownership scare me beyond description.

Sounds like a pretty normal reaction to me! It is big and scary and new, but it's totally doable. Uh, not that I've done it, but other people have. Buffista people even. One day, one thing at a time. You can do it.
It's too scary under my bed.

What smonster said, sj.
Frankie! BE WELL. That's an order.
In mememe news, I think Dan and I have decided what whenever we take a belated honeymoon (in about 2016, maybe, @@) we will be coming to Seattle with a side trip to Vancouver, perhaps.
It's a pipe plan right now, but I am excited just to be dreaming about it!
(This does not preclude my Super-Sekrit plans to attack NOLA again someday, however. One of my favorite cities!)
Really, really bad night tonight. Horrible beyond description. At least I know the truth now.
A snuggly blankie and cup of warm comfort for you.
Oh Maria. I wish you whatever will help you get though whatever this is. And Matt I'm wishing you the best too. You did a brave thing and will get through this.
