But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Thanks all. Since I did not know red or white (and while the husband likes whiskey but I do not know if the wife does) so I went for Shiraz.

Always Anti-fascist!

It's nice. Mom and I pick it as a compromise cause she likes tart reds and I like sweet whites.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sj, hope things smooth out for you soon.

{{{Aims}}} I hope your MiL chills out before you have to spend serious time with her.

I have no opinions of use on wine.

Just had a super fine* crafty night with KR. I think I want to make this a semi-regular thing, even after the holidays. And for those not on fb, I highly recommend adding a half-shot of bourbon to your hot cocoa, if you like bourbon of course.

* that was supposed to be "super fun," but the typo amuses me so I'll leave it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My week here is almost over and it has gone well. Although I've been doing most of the home care, my two brothers were doing all kinds of stuff for my mom, In speaking with one brother, he said his wife was a little shocked to hear him joking with my mom right after she found out she had cancer again. Chris said he told her we're irish and we looked at the bright side, I demurred, and said we are Irish and look at the dark side and LAUGH IN ITS FACE.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My mother (also part Irish) says, "If we weren't laughing, we'd be crying."

oh and I need a bitches reality check. I get home early Saturday. J and I have plans to go to a movie that night. At ten, our nephew's band is having its final concert. j wants me to go with him, ButI I will have gotten up at five am EST, so I know I'll be too fried to go. He suggested going to dinner and the movie, then being dropped off at home so he can go see this show and I can sleep. rationally, I think this is a really good idea, but emotionally my feeling is, I was away bathing and feeding and organizing a cleaning lady for and installing shower bars for my very loved and very sick mom and that he should want to spend the evening with me, even though I will be asleep 20 minutes after we get home from the movies. Not rational,me.Right?

Not rational, but perfectly understandable.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Scrappy, I can totally see both points of view. If it were me, I'd agree to being dropped off and secretly hope in my dark little heart that he'd change his mind and stay with me instead.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Not rational, no. But a perfectly understandable emotional need. You're exhausted and have been emotionally drained. Wanting to be taken care of makes sense. Maybe skip the movie until the next day and J can spend that time with you at home, you sleep and he goes to the concert?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Hi again guys! I always feel silly posting again after a post and run, but I was tired. Our Christmas tree is up, the rent is paid, the utilities are paid, and the grandparents are getting the kids stuff they want for Christmas. I think we're doing okayish over here.

Ginger, so glad I popped in to see your update. You're in my thoughts all the time.

I was hunting something for Kara that wasn't as expensive as a Hatsune Miku doll but would fill the need, and saw that doll and immediately thought of you, Jilli. Love that doll. This one looks like Aidan: [link]

Don't you love it when someone thinks they know more than you do, Aimee?
