[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thank you, Strix.

We can has a cease fire now. There was another siren in the south this morning, and they lasted two hours after the cease fire was declared, but other than that - touchwood touchwood touchwood - I think this round it over.

And this is a huge relief.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Edit again - is there any reason you know of that if doc said to take Aleve, he can't sub ibuprofen?

He should be able to take ibuprofen; they're both antiinflammatories.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh thank goodness, Shir.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay for cease fire. Fingers crossed somehow, somewhere, someone can figure out how to break this cycle.

He should be able to take ibuprofen; they're both antiinflammatories.

Excuse me while I do the dance of "I was right" here where he can't see me. Actually, I'm back home, so he can't see me anyway. He insists (it's nowhere in his discharge paperwork) that they said not to take ibuprofen, that an antiinflammatory would slow healing. But the doc definitely said Aleve this morning, and D didn't ask if ibuprofen was okay. It's all whatever now, I got him some at Walgreens, but with ibu you can take a little every few hours instead of needing to wait.

Protip, y'all - if you get a nerve block for surgery, start taking your pain pills *before* the block starts to wear off.

Oh, my dear lord, YES! And don't move it -- that appendage will be Floppy McFlopperson! Comedy gold, but ouch! (Says the girl who whacked self upside the face TWICE when my arm nerve block was in effect.)

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

The thing I'm thankful most is the cease fire. May it last. May the powers that be in that part of the world start working together and respecting everyone as a human.

Shir, I hope you can take this weekend to catch up on sleep and calm the nerves. Give big hugs to all your family.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

And many prayers that the cease fire will last.
