Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm OK, family's OK, sister's not in the army, so really, considering, this is the best case scenario. I even have a shelter in my work, in case rockets will get to Tel Aviv.

What I do need now other than peace is sleep and rest. Been meaning to update here ions ago, but I've been diagnosed with an Epstein–Barr virus in a standard blood test about two weeks ago. Apparently I've been having that for at least five months, and what I thought was laziness and lack of creativity was something else entirely. I'm trying to break the cycle and get more than 5 hours of sleep per night, because now I finally understand why my body hates anything that's less than 8-9 hours of sleep (which I only get on weekends).

I'm slowly trying to find out who of my friends got drafted. More reserve forces will be drafted today, and I'm waiting to hear the news about that.

War sucks. Don't try it at home, kids.

Edit: how tired am I, you ask? All of my last posts in Nattar? I was certain I'm on Bitches. And I checked the title. Yep.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Good job on getting to the gym, sj!

Consuela, I'm like you. I have to have a workout buddy. I'm not working out at all right now - cant afford gym or yoga classes, don't have a buddy for in home stuff or walking. I'm just letting work be my workout, which isn't really balanced or enough.

Shir, damn. I'm glad you have a diagnosis, and I hope you can dial back enough to get the sleep you need. Continued prayers and ~ma for your family and friends and all those in your region affected by violence.

I'm at work early because I took D to work. He finally got in touch with the doctor this morning and will likely have his surgery next week. Just in time for Thanksgiving? Yay?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Shir, stay safe. Tons of ~ma headed your way.

I'm trying to figure out a way to bribe myself back to the gym today. I slept very well last night, and I'm only a little sore this morning but so tired.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

sj, I am going back to the gym today! You inspired me. Seriously.

ION, we have to have a meeting at work (right now, actually) about our new copier. It has 6 agenda items. WHAT THE HELL.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

2 rockets hit central Israel, 10 km from Tel Aviv. Oh boy. (I'm on my way back from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yikes. Stay safe Shir, and all around you.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yikes, Shir. Take care.

Yay, Teppy! Well, I guess if I inspired you, I have to go back.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Wow, Shir. Normally I would expound the glory of adequate sleep and making time to get a full night...but given the mitigating circumstances yay for being in one piece? So scary :(

Speaking of scary, one of my fb friends posted a pic of a very very fresh newborn. I am super curious about the marks on her forehead but it seems rude to ask a new dad why his newborn looks like someone pressed a sweater wristband into her face.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There are not enough bunkers in the world, for the amount of missiles people want to throw at each other. Is wrong.

we have to have a meeting at work (right now, actually) about our new copier. It has 6 agenda items. WHAT THE HELL.

We got deluged with meeting invites about our new printers. None of which I attended, but I did ask around until I found someone who had, to find out what they learnt.

Apparently we can scan from them to our email addresses or something?

Whatevs. My phone has a camera.

Then I overheard someone (in IT!) complaining that they had *no* idea how to set up this new printer on their system.

Uh, the same way you did the last printer on Windows 7? That doesn't change with the brand of printer.

So maybe classes were needed for some.
