sj, one thing that MFNLaw didn't mention is that in addition to the actual improvement in physical capability you can get from working out, there's a noticeable improvement in, well, emotional well-being.
Yeah, I know this. I was doing so much better depression wise when I was going to PT, but when they stopped PT on me with almost no warning I freaked out and just stopped going, always meaning to go back, but then we started looking at houses and I just never got around to finding a new gym.
It is ridiculous. But I finally got some good advice(support your local independent-living center...they are heroes.)
sj, Mom and I would love to visit New England. If my ship of gold comes in...
I hope so...the furthest east I've been is DC(Didn't even go into Balmer, but that was before it would have felt like making Hajj) but an East Coast tour would be fun with loads of Buffistas. And all your stuff would seem exotic.
think I have been trying to stay well for two weeks - now I'm down
beth, feel better.
Time to fall down. Hopefully I'll be able to move in the morning.
Glad you made it in, sj. The exercise regime has helped my mental health quite a bit too.
Serious~ma to those in need!
Utterly unrelated to anything, being away from home for 10 days I somehow totally forgot just soft my kitties are. There has been much petting. Also, bought and baked my first ever spaghetti squash! It was large, and I won't be eating all of it tonight, is it ok to put the leftover strands in an airtight container and then just toss it in the fridge or do i need to add sauce or some oil to keep it from getting glued together?
