Big stop just to renew your license to companion. Can I use companion as a verb?

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

If it's a cold, it's creeping up slow. Cheekbones/sinus still ache, and spreading to the side of the neck. When I was teaching this morning, I felt like I was roasting, and was wondering if it was the a/c on the fritz again, or me. Then realized, I was sitting right under a 60" plasma screen that was putting out all kinds of heat. So, maybe a little of everything. It helps that is a gorgeous day again (sunny and 79ºF). But I think my body is confused from a weekend of chilly and 40'sº. All in all, blah. I'm taking this weekend off. If the students want to pre-load in things, then let them. I'm not supervising it. I know that will bite me in the ass, but, so be it. I need down time. And from the looks of it, some time to chill to ward off the emminent cold.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

I'm feeling OK today. Not great, and I turned down an invite to go play trivia tonight because I felt like I needed to rest, but I'm not feeling as bad as I did yesterday. And I got some pretty nice presents -- DVDs of Animaniacs, Call the Midwife, and a Sondheim box set, plus a Mandelbrot set necklace.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That said, the bordello-bar-run-by-actor? Seems...eyebrow raise-y.

In what way?

In a will this be any fun or just weird or most likely super cheesy and filled with women hoping he will stop by way.

I'm assuming you've already been to Bourbon St?

Well, yes. Which is why my eyes roll, mostly. If it were somewhere else, possibly it could be super cool, or super douchey.

Yes, me too. I actually know almost nothing about Channing, but the fact that he's planning a Bourbon Street establishment kind of makes me sketchy of the whole thing.

Note: I *really* hate Bourbon Street. Really, really, a lot.

Not planning, opened. It's almost 2 weeks old at this point.

I don't have a big beef with Bourbon Street, myself (especially not the NE end), but nothing I've read about the club makes it particularly sound like the sort of stuff people who hate it hate most about it. Menu looks alright, drinks look alright, there's nothing on paper to like or dislike for me.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hil, Happy Birthday! I'm glad you're feeling a little better. Your gifts sounds great.

omnis, feel better.

Ugh, it seems like our whole neighborhood uses fireplaces, and our house currently smells like burning wood. I see an air purifier in our future.
