Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

that's a nice coat --and you can return it to the stor e if it doesn't work

I always forget about that option! Thanks.

Having done most of our celebrating earlier in the weekend, we spent today planting tulips and going to the market. And soon we're going to go to our local gym, which is under new ownership, to see what changes they've made. After that leftovers and prosecco!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

to "Did you see that thing ita ! put on her tumblr about SPN?"

::snort::

I feel moderately guilty towards anyone who doesn't like SPN and follows me, and also if they don't ship like I ship, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND...it's a big internet out there, and I want to curate the whole thing.

Bit by bit.

Signals! Maybe I'll buy something for my sister from there...always with the jewelry, I am. That necklace y'all got is beautiful.

Thanks. Signals really does have some great stuff. There is a pair of Edward Gorey bat earrings that I am hoping for for Christmas.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Lovely coat, sj. I hope it works for you!

My knitting group is going to have a Magic Mike party.

Channing Tatum just opened a bar on Bourbon St. It's supposed to evoke a Storyville-era bordello. [link]

Thrive to spite them

So after feeling completely depressed and full of anxiety - especially at the idea of leaving the house - I went to the grocery store. Mostly to get more diet cokes but also to get butter and a puppy chew toy for Penny who is chewing all the corners of my books.

I ended up bringing home the random assortment of stuff and forgot the butter and chew toy.

I bought the coat! I really should not be spending the money, but I don't think I'm going to get as lucky with the weather this winter. And I really do need a warm coat.

{{{{askye}}}} I'm sorry. I know what that feels like. Is there anything we can do?

Thrive to spite them

sj thanks.

I'm doing okay even though I feel like crap. Getting out of the house made me feel better. I see my shrink Thursday and have other dr's appointments and reasons to get out of the house the rest of the week.

I mean, I feel bad and stuff but I understand what's going on and I know medication changes will happen this week so I'm trying to focus on that.

I'm thinking of titling a book review I'm submitting "Ghouls Never Get to be the Cool Kids". (I'm reviewing a book called Catatrophism which basically argues that in politics and political organizing, Dystopia is for losers.) I want to make sure I'm not unintentionally insulting Goths. I don't think this unfair to Goths, since Vampires, Werewolves and a number of other types of supernatural generally are rated way cooler than Ghouls. But maybe there is a whole Goth sub-culture who thinks that ghouls in particular are cool. Jilli? Any other Goths or Goth adjacent who wish to comment?

I just got back from the open house at the gym. I have a 2 week trial membership, and an appointment for a free session with a personal trainer on Wednesday. I will go to the gym. I will go to the gym. I will go to the gym.
