Stand your ground. And if they can't give you what you want, cancel and go with someone who can.
Yep. The key is to figure out what really matters to you (the doors) and be willing to honestly cancel and walk away.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm with Liese. Stand your ground. And if they can't give you what you want, cancel and go with someone who can.
Absolutely this.
Customer service is a dying art...not made better when people give in to giving up what they want!
I'm finally recovered from poll working.
My co-ballot clerk sent me an email today saying that she wants to get together for a chat. "If I can still like you after sitting on that hard chair, working with you for 15 hours, we should be friends!"
I think I'm going to love her.
IIRC, omnis negotiated a really good deal with the closet people. I wonder if they are trying to get out of it.

This. Hang in there omnis! Get what you want or you will regret it.
My life is still devoid of Tumblr and Twitter. This at times makes me feel shame or guilt or ancient or something. I opened a technology company in 1988 and was all leading edge with jumping on the fastest modems available on dedicated phone line for our BBS. Now my programming is done by people 20-30 (or more) years younger than me. I am now looking at potential interns from the local universities for social media marketing because I recognize my old fogy status. On the positive side, I figure I am close to retiring and actually having time to play on the internet again!
IOinternetN, I will likely go back to residing here and staying the heck away from Facebook for a time. The hateful spewing by my 'friends' that didn't get their way in the election is more than I can take. Seriously, I did not vote for the president because I am on welfare. Stepping back because I value my sanity.
Laura, that's kind of what I wrote about last night. It's still up, if you want to take a peek.

Come back to our loving arms! Also, when Obama won Florida, I pumped my fist and said, "That's for Laura!"
I will selectively peek, javachik.
It was a beloved cousin of DH that was the final blow. She has 2 gay children that she loves unconditionally, another child is an unwed mother, she has personally been on any number of government assistance programs, and she actually posted...
Hey, I got a great idea! All who voted for Obama pay for his plan. And the 47%... you adopt them and move em into your house. How many of you will line up for that? the rest of us will take care of outselves.
Yes, I left the typo because I am feeling mean and bitter at the moment. I am so grateful for this place to vent my frustration. I am really trying to equate it with my devastation when Bush was elected, each time. I remember Nilly's words of comfort. I also remember sobbing in a curled up ball of dysfunction.
It is part my desire for non-confrontation, and part my knowledge that you can't argue with a crazy person. But I just have to step away because I do love this cousin, and I just don't understand, and never will.
Barney Frank quoted his bumper sticker tonight on Rachel's show that just tickled me. He said he had it made up himself. "Vote Democratic, We're not perfect, but they're nuts." Love ya, Barney.
Also, love ya, Buffistas. Also love my Republican friends and hope for their sakes that they abandon the Akin-Palin-Trump-Rove-Ryan-Etc crazy wing of their party and go back to a reasonable difference of opinion type candidates.
Laura, that's kind of what I wrote about last night.
I just quickly peeked back and YES, I did see that this morning and was nodding like mad.
Also, when Obama won Florida, I pumped my fist and said, "That's for Laura!"
I don't mind at all that Ohio took the prize of granting the president another term, but I so wanted it to be Florida. Last time I looked they still hadn't made it official that we went Obama. smh - see, I still have some non-fogy ability due to having texting teen children.
Last time I looked they still hadn't made it official that we went Obama.
It's official. Or at least Romney conceded it.
I saw your post javachik and it made me feel immense gratitude that my Republican family members are NOT posting anything rude. Of course, none of the rest of us are openly gloating either. I guess we're all voting on a good holiday season instead. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that kind of thing. It would make me angry too.
